Hands down, weirdest coworker, was a 21 year old CNA i was directly in charge of, who on more than one occasion, showed up to work buck ass naked, because it was her 'free day'.
she was not being sexual. she just firmly believed she needed to 'free herself' on a regular basis. She was actually a good worker, did really well. I just worked with the lady in charge of the schedule to make sure the 'free days' were not days she worked.
Weird, and easy to take the wrong way, especially dangerous for me, as a guy, even if i have the sex drive of a flatworm.
I've also worked with Anti-Vaxx pediatricians, and female OB-GYNs who openly advocated sterilizing women who were poor, or came from ethnic groups prone to certain chronic conditions. but they were less 'weird' and more 'i want to throw you into an autoclave and turn it on'.

We had Dakota. He loved spying on people and trying to get everyone in trouble. He wasted a lot of time and never seemed to get caught. It wasn’t that he actively avoided doing any work, he just dragged everything out. Something that would have taken most people 30-45 minutes would take him nearly 2 hours. When he knew people were watching, he was one of the fastest stockers in the whole store. When he didn’t think anyone was watching him, he’d take all day to work a single L-cart.By the time I was leaving, management was paying a lot more attention to his antics. He is still there 5 years later so either he got his act together or management stopped caring again.

Gotta be my current coworker.... Love her but my goodness, the woman fusses and mismanages her time more than the number of breaths she is able to take in a day.
She is a rat pet owner which isn't the weird part. The weird part is that she still keeps the frozen, preserved remains of several past pet rats that had died. From the way she explained it, it seems like she kept it all very clean and well thought out but... She kept these dead rat "remains" frozen in her regular food fridge/freezer. Not like .. some separate external freezer. No no, a basic apartment fridge/freezer.
One that was subject to her power getting flipped off due to a faulty breaker and her fridge would go through warming up. Never heard of any rats getting thawed out but I doubt she would tell anyone about it even if it happened.
Her explanation for keeping the remains is that she buries the dead pets in the pet cemetery on her parents' property which is several states away.
So she was gonna have to travel there with these rat remains herself to bury them.
She also told me about how the times she would fly back to her parents she would, shit you not, MAIL THESE DEAD RATS IN THE FRIGGIN MAIL.
She would get priority express overnight shipping and make sure to package them with dry ice and in special styrofoam shipping containers.
But she explicitly would NOT disclose the true nature of the things in the containers upon shipment.
    Oh. My. God.
I nearly screamed at her but managed to keep my cool.
Let's see... What else.... She didn't know who the people of pacific island heritage were. She thought they were a sports team.
She insists on filling every moment of silence or peaceful ambiance by constantly speaking every thought out loud.
Insists on everything being done only the specific, convoluted and often excessively inefficient ways she thought up. Which usually everyone else can perform using similar logic but with the same results but without going through 6 extra steps to get there.
She will verbally exhausted everyone that challenges her to the point people either have to walk away to keep from screaming at her or just give up and don't bother.
But she's extremely caring and loving and the most genuine and heartfelt person ever.
Honestly, she's weird and annoying but she's not an asshole or incompetent. Just a bit of a mess but still gets her job done and has a heart of gold. Guess it's a fair enough balance.
But the frozen dead rats thing is still hard to get over NGL.

He was just the prep guy so stayed in the back from 6-11. It’s a short and easy shift but he would constantly complain about everything. He’d complain about all the prep and having to stand there. Mind you, most of us were in the front running around back and forth for 8 hours with no breaks so it was annoying to hear him complain. He was also an oversharer and would talk constantly about random and uncomfortable topics. He once brought up religion and was talking about how god wasn’t real. Not really a work appropriate topic considering I live in the south and have a lot of crazy religious coworkers. He also played his music super loud. I tried to be nice to him cause he wasn’t a bad person, but I was kinda glad when he left.

    I have 3:
    1. Worked nights before I took that over for her so she could work more normal hours. A year later, found her obsession with cats (she was once feeding as many as 5 on the property grounds). Had an on and off relationship with one of the maintenance guys, the second time resulting in her first self-cutting, then a few tattoos (no more than 3, none were distasteful or large), and eventually led into alcoholism and just short of prostituting herself for money to get more alcohol. Was fired after multiple times of was supposed to be working and answering phone calls, but was instead sneaking into her car to drink the mini bottles of alcohol).
    2. Young woman (maybe 19-20). Was working part time nights since work didn’t want me with overtime regularly. After about a month, she brings her boyfriend, mother, brother (or some combination of the three) to work and they would sleep on the sofa and love seat in the lobby while she slept behind the desk. The lobby had some glass windows and doors that were see through, and especially if the lobby wasn’t open, guests could walk by and see people sleeping in the lobby. At times I had to open up the lobby, get coffee ready and wake her up. Due to this happening on a semi-regular basis (as well as her corrupting the one front desk computer multiple times due to her watching porn on it), then she got fired.
    3. My boss at a different property hired a guy to work on fixing one of the hotel rooms and the conference room on a Saturday afternoon. When I come in Saturday night to work, I’m surprised to get a talk from the owner. Apparently, after the guy finished on the room, he went and did enough drugs that he was OD-ing and had to have a few doses of Narcan introduced into his system. He was immediately driven to the hospital. The guy had to leave anything to do with his motorcycle (keys, helmet, bike) at the hotel. The worker then randomly shows up around 4 am Sunday morning as if nothing happened and asks for his keys and motorcycle helmet.

So in my new office, across from me is an older lady working on her desktop, she has her back towards me

Then sits down without breaking the conversation

After 3 months I found out that everyone on my side of the office knew she does this and it is something she probably does not realize, because it is a completely different department, and this is not something anyone dare bring up in conversation and because she is old nobody wants to be disrespectful

probably the guy who wore a dog collar with a GPS tracker on it so he could prove his loyalty to his GF...or the guy who would randomly start trying to break dance (poorly) during work, then check to see if anyone was watching..

I Googled it...having been told that a past employer can only verify whether someone actually worked there...and the potential employer could only ask "would you hire them again?"
Apparently, this is not true. Many employers *_won't_* disclose why an employee was fired due to fear of legal repercussions. However, there is no law prohibiting the disclosure, as long as what is stated as a reason is _true._

4:57 She might have some different way of doing it, but this sounds like a normal day to an Orthodox Christian. We're supposed to pray before we do anything, whether eating, sleeping or working. We pray on average about 14 times a day, once before and once afterwards. It's a shame it's referred to as 'weird', it's how a lot of people live.

@@tidepodpadthai2633 You don't know if he was posssessive and neither did they. This was all just speculation based on hearsay. Men are often framed like that. I was falsely accused by my ex. It took 4 years of a hellish legal battle and a good car in legal fees until iI was finally proven innocent.
She of course suffered no consequences for her lies.
That is why I never take such allegations seriously.

Seriously did you even read my OC? The thing is that they had no right to interfere into the lives of the Stiltons. They IMMEDIATELLY assumed that the husband was the perpetrator and their assumptions were based on hearsay only. Such idiotic behaviour and mentality is why many innocent men are behind bars or going through what I did. The cretin who replied before you for instance knows for certain that the guy was 'possessive' and 'crazy' without even knowing these people, without even meeting them once. He also called me a clown because I dared to point out that passing judgement without knowing anything about the issue minght not be the brightest idea.
I don't know what it is about you people that whenever there is an argument between a man and a woman you always stand on the side of the woman and call the guy 'creepy' or some other stupid shit. Who knows, maybe its her who is a poisonous skank and its her who is at fault? Thats not exactly fucking science fiction and perfectly possible to happen.

NEVER help a woman in an abusive relationship. #1 if he's beating her up in public and it's definitely not his first second third or fourth time doing it. She keeps going back. #2 typically she will never ever be with the guy that "saves" her because they only like players and bad boys. #3 they have absolutely no problem during their productive/reproductive years disrespecting and humiliating guys just for being decent. If you tell her she's beautiful three times in a row she'll go see but if you beat her up and get her sister pregnant she'll go crazy and won't shut up about you to everybody she talks to you as if anybody else cares about her issues.... And can't forget how she will also give that same trash dude about five kids expecting the same guy that wanted to save her to want to come save her kids when she can't even give him another one. NEVER EVER EVER try and save an adult who does the same thing over and over. NEVER take women serious when they make the same choices and act the same and talk the same and think the same as most other females yet still thinks she's "unique" or a "queen" just because she has ilegitimate kids. NEVER allow a woman to make you believe that you can do whatever you want waste all of your years that matter and then you can turn around and talk about being a queen or being worthy of Love or respect when they never gave that to anyone who deserved it. Your past absolutely matters in life and relationships. You absolutely cannot be aaved after a certain point of poor choices no matter what the self inflicted worthless people tey and tell you.
