    They need to watch the lore videos about Count Dooku and General Grievous. To see the rough life they lived and what made them take the dark path they did. And maybe they will learn to really like them. Like Count Dooku is my favorite character in all of Star wars

      General grievous was b1 battle droid who upgraded himself to avenge his kind against the jedi.
      Dooku was a depressed piano player who had a romantic love affair with palpatine on naboo in his youth.

    In Fallen Order, Merrin references an armoured warrior carrying lightsabers who wiped out her clan when she was a child.
    The Defoliator tank was also the same design George Takei's character was testing out on the lemur people way back in season 1.
    And Talzin rising from Dooku's chest is one of the coolest, and kinda disturbing visuals in the show.

    Now you know why merrin was alone on dathomir almost her whole life her people were slaughtered when she was a child And when she heard the mechanical warrior wielding jedi lightsabers (general grievous) She thought the jedi slaughtered her people. Oh, and one more thing, don't forget that when savage came back to mother talzin, she told him to find his brother darth maul

    Count Dooku was a very respected jedi but he was very fed up with the jedi order that he thought as corrupt and that they didn't serve the force but rather chose sides (similar to what Qui-Gon thought). When Qui-Gon who was Dookus padawan died thats when Dooku decided to quit the order (If you look up deleted scenes from Attack of the Clones there still is a statue of Dooku in the jedi library even after he had left the order). Dooku still has alot of respect for some of the jedi, especially for Obi-Wan who he praises whenever he can and Joda who he believes is the strongest and was also Dookus old master.
    Grevious species thought a war against the jedi and got massacred except for Grevious who got badly injured which is the reason for all his robotic parts. So that's why he hates all jedi and the only reason he is fighting on Dookus side, he doesn't actually care about the separatist cause he just despices jedi. I may have some detail wrong about Grevious backstory but thats pretty much the sum of their motives.

    • @bobafett1313
      @bobafett1313 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +14

      @@thealmightypancakeface9585 Not really, for one it’s not cowardly to live to fight another day. If that’s cowardice then what about Kenobi fleeing from Vader in the Kenobi show? Or Yoda fleeing from Sidious in their duel? Grievous had balls to fight Kenobi and Eeth Koth in a 1v1 sure he had droids present however he didn’t really try with Kenobi until all his droids were defeated (I’m talking about Grievous intrigue) and when he fought Eeth Koth he 1v1 him without droid assistance until the Jedi master did a douche move and used the force. So calling him a coward for being smart isn’t a fair move.
      Also if we look at Grievous’s duels with Kenobi and Koth we see Grievous actually beat both COUNCIL MEMBERS in lightsaber combat until the Jedi both used a cheap force push to save their skins.

    • @demi-femme4821
      @demi-femme4821 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ventress was squaring up to Dooku and clutched a 2v1 against Anakin and Obi-Wan. It's not as much that they nerfed Grievous as it is they buffed the HELL out of Ventress. She went from Melee Kirby to 64 Kirby.

    • @bobafett1313
      @bobafett1313 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@demi-femme4821 Sure but from what I remember the only time she ever in any way did anything with Dooku was when she brought Savage or the night sisters to aid her and she still failed, and with Anakin and Obi Wan she “survived” the encounters and ran way not really ever truly doing anything. I’m not saying she is terrible but against characters like Dooku, Anakin, and Kenobi she never really defeated them in lightsaber combat meanwhile Grievous actually has beaten Kenobi in a lightsaber duel.
      In Grievous Intrigue he beats Kenobi until Kenobi pulls a cheap force push to win, Griveous also beat Eeth Koth in the same episode and has also defeated a few other council members throughout the show.

    There’s a small number who were off world when grievous hit. Those who were off world tended to be young and were on journeys. So we’re not counted as full nightsisters yet. Mother talzin also survived by dumping her physical form and going into a new spiritual form. She returned later looking for a new body.
    The nightsisters were a problem as the Jedi kept a very strict eye on them. Sidious saw them as a bad attempt at recreating the old sith order through patience and breeding programs. The Jedi saw the sisters as a fringe force related group that had some practices that strayed into the dark and kept a close eye on them but they never did anything that bad. The nightsisters were considered a grey area as they used both light and dark abilities yet never fully mastered either, they were somewhere in between yet strayed into light and dark sides quite often.

    This is one of the few times I side with the separatists because the nightsisters where complete trash that deserved to get wiped out especially after what they did to Savage and in the Son of dathomir comic its reveald that Talizin was working with Sidious althoug he did betray them. In Legends Grevious is completley justified in turning evil since the republic and especially the jedi really fucked him and his people over by causing mass starvation on their planet leading to Grevious becoming a loan shark to get food for his people until Dooku blew him upp and with the other separatists brainwashed him into a monster with only his understandable haterd of the Jedi left. In canon he is just a psycho but goddamn I love him more than Ventress any day of the week.

    If you want more of Asajj Ventress there is a great book about her called Dark Disciple. It is a stand alone story but don't watch it until you've finished Clone Wars. I won't spoil anything here or even talk about where it takes place in her timeline (you know how Star Wars like to mess with timelines). When you've finished Clone Wars, I highly recommend you check that out. More time with her is always fun. Is there a love story hidden in there? Maybe.

    I'm a little late this episode! Sorry, been a bit of a rough start to the week, but doing better now. As for the episode itself, this episode is the start of the final arc of season 4. They went very brutal for this arc. Not really much more to say than that, an episode that definitely earns its title. To clear up a few questions, the one that Ventress mentions to Talzin in the beginning is indeed Savage Opress from season 3. As for the question of when Grievous gets what is coming to him, I'm not sure how long it's been since you all have seen the movies or if you haven't seen all of them, but Grievous was first introduced in Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith in 2005 which takes place after the Clone Wars series. So, as much as we might want him to die, he can't in the show since he's in the movie. Also, if you're interested on learning more of Grievous and Dooku's story, Star Wars Explained has videos on both of them. Alex does a very good job giving a lot of information in a clear and concise manner, can't recommend his channel enough. I'd also recommend watching Tales of the Jedi after you're done with the Clone Wars as several of those episodes deal with Dooku specifically.
    Not many fun facts to cover for this episode (that I can think of anyway). The first being the most obvious, the Nightsister magic is very inspired by voodoo magic in this episode. The doll of Dooku is even listed as a voodoo doll in official sources. Next, we get to see the second (third including a flashback in "Hostage Crisis") and final appearance of the Defoliator tank. We also get to see the return of the Hyena-class Droid Fighter/Bomber in it's first season 4 appearance that wasn't a flashback. This episode also marks the second canon appearance of the undead and the first canon appearance of the Nightsister zombies. That's all I've got for this episode! Can't wait for the next one!
