awesome trip report! I'm surprised that there was food for this short flight. The row you sat is probably the best row of the aircraft, great legroom and beautiful view of the wing
Nice flight! In the US, Southwest Airlines crew would often find excuse not to do the drink service for a 1.5 hr flight, but KLM managed to give out a snack and water in a 24 min flight...

Hey that is a short flight but I have beaten that one.
How about ORD to ORD in 5 minutes? Many years ago, I was flying on a commuter flight (United Express). It was scheduled to fly from Chicago O’Hare to South Bend, Indiana. That is actually quite a short route, maybe 45 minutes in a prop commuter plane. Well we took off and after only maybe a minute we started circling back, made a full 360 and landed on the same runway that we departed in what felt like 5 or 6 minutes total flying time. No announcements until we had landed. Apparently one of the two engines had an “oil pressure warming”. The bus ride to South Bend was less eventful but tediously long!
Totally agree with you. I actively seek Embraer routes for European travel as they have great space, are quiet, and two by two seating makes travelling as a couple much nicer!

This was the second leg of the same ticket which I did not upgrade. As you can see I got exactly the same service as in business class on the previous flight. For economy class it’s great but I was misled for the upgrade. That case is at the small claims court now

My shortest flights were the 35 minutes travel from POA to FLN. They are the southern 2 capitals, and by car or bus it would be a 5,5 hours trip if you get no traffic jams.

My shortest flights ever: a 5 minute hop from one part of the Maasai Mara Game Reserve (Kenya) to another; and a 15 mins hop from Antigua to Barbuda in the Caribbean (which I've done a few times on work trips).
My shortest flight was from Doha to Manama it was around 15 minutes or even less (Without boarding and airport time). It was on Gulf Air ...
My shortest flight flown was from Barcelona (LEBL) to Palma de Mallorca (LEPA) on a b737 with Air Europa. It took about 15 minutes .

My shortest is also Amsterdam - Brussel in a Fokker 28 or Curacao - Bonaire. I do not remember the flighttime with that one, cause it was so long ago.

My shortest flight was SDQ-PUJ it was like 20 minutes or something and from puj to bru but that one was like 9 hours
i hope you enjoyed cause i heard rumors that KL would stop operating such short flights to belgium or north-west germany , due to the fact that its not really eco friendly
most KL city hopper are very short flights or with low load factors , the catering is the same as usual . 115€ for direct flight ? or you connected from UK ?
The cost is for this flight only (althoug I had connected from Madrid in Amsterdam)

Nice review but I can’t help but think that given the time to get out to Schipol, check-in, flying time to Brussels, Brussels Airport to City Centre (assuming that’s your destination), it would have been less stressful to just take a Thalys high-speed train and be there in 1 hour and 50 minutes. First Class ticket would run approximately $100, Standard Class maybe $20.00 less.
You’re probably right Rob. I was connecting from another flight though so for me it was quicker this way

@@MyTrips_Aviation The Thalys leaves directly from the airport, one level down from the arrivals area, and arrives in the center of Brussels 1 hour and 34 minutes later. So it is a lot faster to get to the center of Brussels than flying. There are also many more trains than flights each day, so probably save a lot of time waiting. More important: it causes much less pollution to use the train. And the train is much more comfortable with plenty of seats. Tickets start at about 30 euro for discounted fares.
@@zzzowie In my opinion the plane is more comfortable but this is an opinion.

My shortest flight was from Westray to Papa Westray, I believe it was around 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Tendai Mudimu You would be surprised, there is. Its a 1 minute and 30 flight from Westray Airport to Papa Westray, I was in the UK for a month and a half back in 2019 and made the effort to head up to Scotland and ride it, it's operated by Logan Air and if you search "The world's shortest flight" on TH-cam, you can find some videos on it.
And it's operated by DHC-6 Twin Otter and Britten Norman BN-2 Islander planes
My shortest flight was Jersey to Guernsey 14 minutes. Great views at 1000 feet. Auringy Airlines

@@MyTrips_Aviation I think between 15 and 20 minutes. It was a flight when we came back from Calcutta with KLM propeller plane :-)
@@MyTrips_Aviation, whatever the exact distance or airborne time, since Antwerp is situated between Brussels and Amsterdam, that flight is automatically shorter than the AMS-BRU one.
What is the point of such a short distance flight? It takes longer to drive to the airport.
Always thought with high speed railways, short route like this doesn't exist!
They scrapped one flight, hopefully all short flights with rail alternatives will be banned soon!
@@PeterM_K Since there is a little interest in them I do not think so for the rail alternatives.
@@simonbruin6209 That is mainly because pf the tax free kerosine and plane tickets.. that way the price for flying is way to low.
Keeping this flight in service is very controversial in both NL and B and anyone can understand that it's environmentally irresponsible to fly for a 100 mile trip. Especially when the two cities are connected by more than one train an hour (with a station right at the centre of Schiphol airport). As a consequence, the Benelux Parliament has formally requested KLM to discontinue this flight permanently and to offer connecting passengers train tickets instead. It's exactly what Air France has been doing for years between Brussels and CDG airport.
So it is KLM's fault, or all the pax's fault? I cannot understand the fact that most of us all complain about these short flights, but the load factor is incredible high...
Shortest flight I ever took was from Eindhoven to Rotterdam. 12 minutes flight.
Crikey 115€ for a 24 minute flight. I had a easyJet flight of 90 minutes with a extra legroom seat, and 15kg bag for 15-20€ less
It is a lot but no one else flies this route. As I said in the video I wonder how much is the train ticket - I suspect it may not be much cheaper...
A train ticket from Amsterdam to Brussels is between 25 and 30 euros, so way cheaper and might be faster depending on origin and destination

Great review. Never been on the 190, the leg room does look great. Thanks for the video. Was due to visit Amsterdam in June but had to postpone to October after some hassle, now will likely have to cancel again due to stupid quarantine. £750 down the pan for hotel and flights .... :(
