Such an amazingly deep character to add to the story not a character with just evil intentions, but one who has taken the more destructive path due to the pain humanity put him through whilst trying to get equality for the omnics who live across the world
Idk about deep. He wants to be savior to Omnics and forsakes humanity. I like his character and see that they can do a lot with it, but right now they’ve shown nothing that gives his character any real depth.

The story this character tells is amazing, just the idea of how Omnics are finite and dying, with Ramattra serving as a savior for them, but a killer for us, this is incredible
I already know the interactions between this guy and Zenyatta are going to be interesting. I've really wanted OW to give us a more in-depth look into the Omnic race and the challenges that definitely come with trying to establish themselves alongside humans. This is probably the most excited I've been for a hero in a while.
0:47 Interesting detail I never noticed until this re-watch: There’s a kid on the left who looks like he wants the violence to stop. That one image makes Ramattra’s fall all the more tragic to me. I’m sure he’s smart enough to understand that not all humans are racist towards his kind, but like he said, his race is “finite”. It’s like he’s been driven to choose war as the only option, whether he wanted it or not. Much like his moveset shows us, he may not see balance. To him, those who bring discord far outweigh harmony.
Loved your comment. I hadn't noticed the kid on the left. I'm in love with this new character, by far the most interesting one to me on overwatch so far
This gives so many X-Men vibes, where you got Ramattra (Magneto) driven by vengeance and leading a fight for his kind, and his friend Zen (Professor X) believing in and advocating for a society where humans and omnics coexist peacefully
OverWatch should lean into more rival stories. There's a few now but one between Zenyatta and Ramattra would be dope simply because of their perspectives.
Zenyatta is one of my favorites and having another character with such a close relationship with him makes me so happy. Ramattra seems really cool, having a character with a similar background as Zenyatta but in my favorite role tank is going to be awesome. One can assume that he will have a big role to play in the story missions as well. He will be one of my favorites for sure.
The voice acting is so good. It starts off harsh with the line of war then it goes calm as hes explaining his dreams but then it switches to a more menacing voice to show his hatred againts humanity
hatred against humanity simply for understanding that robots are worthless and only exist for the purpose we create them for and are not alive in any sense of the word, code being executed with no understanding or self awareness at all. This gives me Sigma vibes. I remember watching Sigma's Origin Story for the first time, it gave me goosebumps like this one. Blizzard really knows how to make Stories.
You can tell the Overwatch team and Ramattra’s voice actor put a lot of care into his character and personality. Even the way his tone and voice changes in this video shows his emotions and feelings so well. At 0:07, we hear him with a kinda blank tone, just talking. At 0:20 when it shows them all meditating, you can hear his voice sounding more at peace. Happy, calmer, softer. Then at 0:38, you can hear his anger start to come out. His voice sounding more aggressive and mad at what is going on around him. Getting angrier as he continues, realizing what he must do. And finally, at 1:07, we have the Ramattra we know. War was his last resort, and now he must fight for his people. He didn’t want it to get to this point, but there was no other choice.

Cannot rightly say how excited I am for Ramattra and Zenyatta interactions. I imagine they'll be opposite to Zen and Orisa, where she sees him more as a teacher, and Ramattra more than likely seeing him as a philosophical opposite.
But i doubt that Ramattra will show any hostility or sass towards Zen, Ram will probably try and justify his ideals to Zen, They might have different outlooks, but i believe that both of them will be civil with their interactions, As we saw in this short, Ramattra has meditated and learnt from omnic monks himself.
