Otherwise, none of us would know the details. There's so many police body cam videos out there on Sov.Cits. The cops are always so patient with them as if they're dealing with someone with a mental defect. They sit in their cars with the windows rolled up, refusing to hand over their ID, and putting all their faith in their window glass shielding them from the law. Eventually, windows gets smashed and arrests are made. Then they argue with the judge, spewing internet legal vomit. There's one livestreamer I watch that inserts the screaming varmit meme when the cops lose their patience, and the Safelight window repair jingle when the window gets smashed. They are entertaining to watch.

As a former LEO, working various investigations, as well as working cyber security and crimes, the data stored on such devices provides a great deal more information than most are even aware of. There's existing and recovered data, but also can recover the related geo-tracking data to essentially recreate the movements while there was power for the device. As a prime example, it was that geo-data that provided basic blueprints of many Area 51 facilities, as well as locating otherwise 'secret' military targets that were attacked.

I was temporarily hospitalized (voluntarily) for su*cidal ideation but I'm not legally insane or incompetent to participate in legal proceedings. In the US at least I still have the same rights as everyone else. I'd say about two thirds of us in the psych ward were there for depression and su*cidal ideation, one person for mania, one person for extreme dissociation, and the rest for psychosis. People can also be hospitalized for eating disorders. Having a temporary psychological crisis doesn't mean you permanently belong in a mental hospital. I hope this helps explain it!

I was temporarily hospitalized (voluntarily) for su*cidal ideation but I'm not legally insane or incompetent to participate in legal proceedings. In the US at least I still have the same rights as everyone else. I'd say about two thirds of us in the psych ward were there for depression and su*cidal ideation, one person for mania, one person for extreme dissociation, and the rest for psychosis. People can also be hospitalized for eating disorders. Having a temporary psychological crisis doesn't mean you permanently belong in a mental hospital. I hope this helps explain it!
