Allah, The Beneficent The Merciful, mentions:
_The Hour has come near, and the moon has cracked in two._
      (Chapter No. 54, The moon)
Why is it an extraordinary verse?
The Bible informs us that there will be signs of the end of times in the sun, moon and stars while the Quran boldly predicts that the moon will crack and its going to be a sign that the end is near.
“After more than six years in orbit and imaging nearly three-quarters of the moon's surface, Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) has detected more than 3,200 of fault scarps. These cliffs are the most common tectonic feature on the moon, and are typically dozens of yards or meters high and less than about 6 miles (10 kilometers) long. Previous research had suggested they were less than 50 million years old, and are likely still actively forming today.
If the only influence on lunar fault scarp formation was the cooling of the moon's interior, the orientations of these cliffs should be random, because the forces of contraction would be equal in strength in all directions, researchers said.
"It was a big surprise to find that the fault scarps don't have random orientations," Watters said.
Instead, "there is a pattern in the orientations of the thousands of faults, and it suggests something else is influencing their formation, something that's also acting on a global scale," Watters said in a statement. "That something is the Earth's gravitational pull."
Earth's tidal forces do not act equally across the surface of the entire moon. Instead, they act most strongly on the parts of the moon that are either closest to or farthest away from Earth. The result is that many scarps are lined up north to south at low and mid latitudes near the moon's equator and east to west at high latitudes near the moon's poles.”

The sighting of the moon split was recorded/documented by a king in South India. The record was kept in a India National Library. I think this is the only miracle phenomena that is recorded across a continent. It is the only miracle that is recorded independently by a person who do not know the existence of the prophet in the first place. Upon inquiry, the king went to see the Prophet in Madina and became a muslim. He died on his way back to his country in South India.

Quran is enough of a miracle in itself. So whether this splitting of the Moon in Hadiths is true or false. That is not important . What is significant is the Last Hour. The splitting of the Moon is going to happen & not only that, there is even more to it , the Earth will be smashed to pieces too.
Read this article online "Does the Quran talk about black holes? If so, in which verse?" & read especially the answer written by "Draih". It'll freak everyone out because it's answer is the most comprehensively written supported by various verses gathered from multiple chapters of Quran, related to "The Last Hour" leaving you with a baggage of satisfying conclusions for all the What's & Why's. It shows to tell how accurate Quran is about the Last Hour .

    chapter 54 Al-Qamar (The Moon )
This chapter was revealed in Mecca after the splitting of moon. Since the verses were revealed in Mecca, no one denying that the incident never happened.
In the name of God, the Gracious, the Merciful.
    1. The Hour has drawn near, and the moon has split.
    2. Yet whenever they see a miracle, they turn away, and say, “Continuous magic.”
    3. They lied, and followed their opinions, but everything has its time.
    4. And there came to them news containing a deterrent.
    5. Profound wisdom-but warnings are of no avail.

This is how we come to know that no matter what miracle is shown to the disbelievers, they still won't believe. Had Prophet Mohammed pbuh not shown them the moon splitting miracle, they would have refused to accept him as a prophet, and when he did show them the miracle, they called him a magician, and still refused to accept him as a prophet. Only Allah gives hidayah. Human beings can only deliver his message.

Imam Ahmad and others narrated with a saheeh isnaad from ‘Uthmaan ibn Haneef that a blind man came to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) and said: Pray to Allah to heal me. The Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “If you wish, I shall pray for you; and if you wish, I shall delay that for you and that will be better for you.” [According to another report, he said: “… Or if you wish, you can be patient and that will be better for you.”] He said: Pray for me (now). So he instructed him to do wudoo’ and do it well, then to pray two rak‘ahs and say this du‘aa’ (supplication): “O Allah, I ask You and I turn to You by virtue of Your Prophet Muhammad, the Prophet of mercy. O Muhammad, I turn by virtue of you to my Lord concerning this need of mine, that it might be met for me. O Allah, accept his intercession concerning me and accept my intercession concerning him.” So the man did that and he was healed.
Not that it matter bcz to each prophet is his miracles to his people
      __
OK? Other prophets also did it
      Other prophets didn't do it
      Means nothing
Nothing about this says this better or not
      That is silly
      __
All prophets are, so are babies and angels
      We believe Muhammad is too
      So what's your point
      That is just silly
      __
      By your logic
It is a shame Jesus didn't split the moon?
It is a shame he didn't beat his people in their language
      This is again just silly
      Each prophet has his miracles
      __
Wrong, by saying "so he didn't" you imply that is the cause of him being raised
Of course he was raised bcz he has a mission in the end of time as the Messiah
The prophet had his mission finish by his death
Also ironic since you believe Jesus was freaking crucified 💀
      Also he was poisoned
The companions next to him died
He lived 3 to 4 years after that
God protected him till he finished revealing islam
      __
Nope he has a mission in the end times
      Muhammad didn't
      Both are sinless
      __
Wierd since you just ignored that muhammad pbuh did do miracles
And a couple are even in the quran
      Like splitting of the moon
Also you believe John the baptist actually did no miracles so will you attack him for that? No
      Just attack islam
      Shame
      __
      You reminded me
      By your logic
It is a shame jesus isn't the final Messenger but maybe God preferred Muhammad?
      Again
      That is silly
      Stop making this childish nonsense
Return to earth where there is suffering rather than stay in heaven
      __
      Prophets have their titles
Nothing about supports your childish games
I can't believe adults are making this childish comparison "who did better miracles" as if that is meaningful in anyway

There are actually historical evidences of people even geographically distant to the place of the moon split miracle witnessed it.. (the strongest of it is of an Indian King way inside India)
It may or may not be explained scientifically at least not now (we have yet a lot of things to discover on the moon and in space in general)
Also an important note here is that this miracle happened only for the people of the time, because they asked for it arrogantly thinking he can’t do it anyway, but we have their testimony and a lot of individuals who we have full biography of from the prophets enemies testimonies, as well as prophets companions.. some of them weren’t even in Makkah when it happened (some of them were up far in the north)

The moon has split in half where one half has completely reached a mountain side and the other reached the complete other side so it’s impossible they would misunderstand it.
That’s also not true because there was actually another eclipse and there is also an incident about it. The prophet peace be upon him had his young son Ibrahim die at young age and coincidentally their was an eclipse. People started saying that the sun eclipsed because the prophet’s son died so it’s a sign. However, prophet Mohammed peace be upon him rejected and said that it’s not a sign for his son’s death. If he was a false prophet he would’ve taken advantage of this and said that it’s because of his son.
      Here’s evidence from Sahih Al-Bukahri:
      Volume 2, Book 18, Number 168:
      Narrated Al-Mughira bin Shu'ba :
On the day of Ibrahim's death, the sun eclipsed and the people said that the eclipse was due to the death of Ibrahim (the son of the Prophet). Allah's Apostle said, "The sun and the moon are two signs amongst the signs of Allah. They do not eclipse because of someone's death or life. So when you see them, invoke Allah and pray till the eclipse is clear."

Paul reads texts that mix up fairy tale stories with verses from the Quran.
Why doesn't he read 1001 Arabian Nights together with verses from the Quran, and see how they fit together?

King Perumal of India had a dream of the moon splitting and no one could interpret the dream so a group of arab traders were asked of this dream, and they said it was the miracle the Prophet Mohummed performed. So the King went to Arabia, met the Prophets and accepted Islam

Cheraman Perumal was a King in Kerala, India who accepted Islam after witnessing the moon split in Kerala. He left his kingdom and went to Makkah, became a member of Sahaba and accepted new name of Tajuddin (R) . To spread Islam back in his kingdom in India, he returned with a group.
On his way back he died in Salalah, Oman. The first Masjid built in India is under his name and even today is a religious attraction to people who studies the spread of Islam in Kerala, which happened during the lifetime of Prophet ( Peace be upon Him) which many consider to be a blessing.

@@philipcoriolis6614 I am from Kerala. Even though we don't have Kings and all now, the descendants in that particular Royal family carries on the tradition of naming the next King when one passes away. When a new king takes in charge a part of their oath is " until the uncle returns" indicating to the King who left for Makkah and later who became Tajuddin....
Also the mosque under his name built in kerala dates back to Prophets time. So 1400 years plus.... I don't know how one can negate the facts as we have history of him even pointing to his grave situated in Salalah in Oman.
If you want to clarify please contact scholars in Kerala for getting solid proofs....
Unlike other parts of India, Kerala became the first land to welcome Islam during the time of Prophet.... Unlike other places in India, there is cultural differences also if you compare Muslims. Scholars give accounts of this differences is due to the way Islam reached these areas...

The deniers of the Truth - Islam - Quran - Allah - Muhammad PBUH - Moon Splitting - etc etc - are mad as hell that Muslims actually believe in miracles performed by Allah's prophets. They're mad Muslims also believe in the virgin birth of Jesus. They're mad Muslims also believe in Moses' miracles, such as splitting the sea. >>> Our answer is the Quran's answer: "Die in your rage; God knows what is within the hearts."
