With 30 warzone wins right now. Ive still got zero kills with ax50. Including multiplayer. Never used it. Fell in love with the hdr right away since mw release. Ill be tryin the ax50 tonight thanks to this video. Keep up the awesome content Tom.
For me it's the exact opposite, the AX just reminded me of the Mw2 intervention. I loved that thing back in the day

@@Tomographic you have a better weapon to pair with that ax 50.
M13, mono, longest barrel, 50 ammo, comando forgrip and no stock. It's a slower mp7, but it's not by much (unless you are running a very fast config of the mp7, which would drastically kill your range with it) with same rpm and noticebly more dmg.
Also considering the sight and the dmg drop-off of that config on m13, it's just perfect for the ax-50 to pick up exactly where m13 leaves it.

He was actually wrong. I was using the setup when he was saying those things about HDR.
I have no idea what he has said about it, i've been using it since launch but I dont understand this video either. What, he thought that it didnt 1 shot kill on head?
HDR and AX are basically the same. I just preffered ax for the scope.
Also has a bit higher damage, while HDR is a tiny bit easier to hit headshots on long range.
Kar is also a great option
ok so he uses it aggresively, fine, but I dont understand why he doesnt use the kar in that case. Or even an AR would do a better job
@@user-wq9mw2xz3j because the ax-50 with 32 barrel has almost the same bullet drop and bullet velocity with the HDR, while entering in the ADS of a "slow" kar98 config.
It´s much harder to hit headshots with the kar after 100m, and it´s probably almost imposible to do it on moving targets.

Funny, I recently came to the same conclusion. I was using the AX-50 to unlock reticles for my HDR (because base is trash) but I found myself being better with the AX-50. Turns out if you use the base scope of the AX-50 then invest your attachment slots into making it a quickscoping beast you can get some insanely fast kills with the AX-50.

Man i've been an HDR fan since the beginning. Love the scope the way i have it setup it's my go to. I'm going to give the AX50 a try now though. AX50 has always been quicker but the range and accuracy of the HDR for me has always trumped that.
I also thought the HDR was the better option. However, given my previous battle royale experiences, the AX fit much better, because in my case the lower bullet velocity made me aim moving players more accurately. The scope is also better if you don't have it unlocked on the HDR. It is better however when it comes to attachments. You can focus on ADS speed more since the base scope is all you're ever need. Very high range fights aren't really worth it anyway, and once you get the hang of it, you can just aim a little higher. Better option for both multiplayer and warzone, is my conclusion personally. Good to see someone who vowed for the HDR has finally given it a shot :)
NuclearCha0s Completely agree with you, it’s just a smoother weapon. I’ve always wanted to upgrade my hdr and play with it fo the better bullet velocity and what not, but I just can’t seem to put my ax50 down!
Been using the AX-50 as my sniper since warzone came out. I just can't get use the mobility of the HDR. My current go to loadout is also a Grau AX-50 combo as well.

@@Tomographic u can use the m4 with mono corvus no stock unerbarel and 60 round mag instead of the grau bcz its better for close and mid range than the grau

Been using the hdr for awhile recently been using the kar 98 i will pvl up the ax 50 and give it a try thanks for this vid
After I max level the HDR, I got into the AX and like it much more than the HDR, I think the sights give me a more consistent oneshot with it. I run Singuard barrel, tac laser, assassin stock, mono suppressor, stippled grip, great for close to mid range engagements, bullet drop is easy to account for.

I still don't understand why most of the youtubers prefer 32" barrel instead of singuard arms barrel. As far as I can see from the stats, singuard arms barrel gives more damage range. Can someone explain?

My build for AX-50 is: monolithic supressor, singuard arms barrel, singuard arms assassin, stippled grip tape and tac laser and I have to say I have way more fun while using AX-50 than the HDR.

I was using HDR for the few weeks but transitioned to AX-50 and best decision ever!

Nice one Tomo. I recently ran the ax50 with the short barrel aka Witching Hour blueprint. Took the muzzle out for a grip and it was insane for quickscoping on shipment. Shame this doesn't translate to warzone. Trying to figure out if that's me needing headshots or if the damage is too low with this setup. For now I have just gone back to using the range build grau paired with a CQC Ram7. I have lost way more CQC having a sniper and long range grau than I have missed long range chances using a close up setup.
HDR from day 1, will have to try the 50, keep up the good work bro 👌✌️

Finally! I was sick and tired of people saying the HDR was the only sniper you need when they never even bothered to try the AX-50 just because they’d already made up their mind.
I like both - Always been an AX50 main but I have both Gold and you can Quick Scope with both if set up right

Great video Tomo, the ax-50 has always been my main, I like the HDR too, but always felt more comfortable with the ax-50
I originally never sniped, I never knew what to put as my loadout, then I got my. HDR and made it in a crappy way but now I use the AX-50, you just can’t beat .50 BMG (there are many types and I think one can be shot from a smaller rifle maybe like an AR I think which is .50 Beowulf and the only difference between the different .50 rounds is the length.) I recommend aiming stability for lethal shots on any of your snipers

AX has always resonated more for me as I can get shots off quicker, beating every HDR player in a battle when it comes to sheer sniping. It does help that I have a good aim but it would mean less to nothing if my scoping time was through the roof.
I love the HDR but the AX50 just hits me in a different way
I would recommend using a zoom scope on every sniper except for on the kar 98, doesn’t matter if you are using thermal or not
😂 it’s funny I only ever used the ax50 till I saw toms vid saying the hdr was the only one you needed but I always kept one load out with my special AX50 and I’m glad I did
I've been going for AX-50 since the beginning. It just reminded me soo much of the Ballista from BO2
Surprisingly the Kar98k can go pretty ham with the quick scopes. If you're really good at clicking heads then this is the best rifle, it's so satisfying having a classic weapon like that dominate the field.
i might have gone too far the other direction. went from HDR to k98, b/c i feel like the speed makes it more versatile and i can still hit shots at range fairly reliably. i'll have to give the ax50 a spin

You should think about swapping the archangel barrel with the Nexus barrel as this one is way faster
I feel the hdd is better in my opinion be she of the bullet velocity it has against the ax-50. Seeing as most engagements are around 75-125 range I find it more effective to not have to aim higher to hit shots that way you can see what happening near the enemy and it’s a one shot hs with both yes but ax-50 is technically harder to hit even with the longest barrel. So to me I prefer the hdr it may be slower yes but seeing as engagements are so far away I don’t think that should matter in warzone.
You should use the SA barrel on the AX, better damage range but a bit more bulletdrop.
And the magazine options don't affect the ads time only the walking speed.

I dont know... I like the HDR for range, and the Kar for quickscoping. The ax-50 just feels like the middle, and I’d rather just use the Kar for the same role. Handling on it is superb!
I'm not saying that the AX-50 is to replace the Kar-98 for you. I actually agree but if you fancy a change, you should give the AX-50 a chance :)

I always used the AX-50 just cuz it was a lot snappier. The HDR always felt too sluggish when i really needed it to be quick. Regardless both are really good guns

Love the vids the hdr is good for long range that is why I use it for long range shots and the ax 50 I use for short range and I have them to gold know i am happy about that also

The range of the AX-50 is shorter than HDR. I find that I often get in fights that fit the AX-50 more.

AX-50 is nothing compared to the HDR (Although gotta give some credit to AX-50 for not having a terrible stock reticle and the scope’s rims are much thinner and sharper)

I started off with the ax50 and then I watched a few videos of the hdr being better but I found I just couldn't zero it in and found I was hitting targets better with the ax50
One thing I hate is how it takes 2 more 50 cal rounds to take out a downed enemy they got to fix that
