    this video deserves more. the presentation is amazing and it isn't just a video showing the final product. even more, you filmed the whole thing. this build is really cool and I am going to do the same in the not too distant future (i have only made it custom from the initial enclosure. thanks for this vid, keep it up

    Amazing work man. I’ve been looking for affordable options for my boa who looks cramped in a 75 gallon enclosure and this would be perfect. Love the video. Clear audio, excellent camera work, and making sure to show everything from tools, hardware, materials, and even mentioning where to get everything. Every tutorial on YT should be held to this standard.

My second enclosure I think I'm going to use some of your ideas 💡 but I think I'm going to wait until you make the second video for your second enclosure because like you said the mistakes that you made on the first enclosure you corrected them in the second enclosure. I am so tempted to use the spray foam to make a backdrop when I eventually make my enclosure. Not only does it look great, well yours does at least, I feel it will also help add a thermal barrier. I am so concerned about temp loss as my room is in a basement and we have times, like today, where power went out for several hours.

      @@ChiefSweetsUniverse Hey, I’ve got a couple more questions now that I’m starting work on my own enclosure. Is placing the heat lap directly on top of the metal screen a fire hazard if your enclosure walls are made out of wood? Does heat travel through the metal screen and outward into the tops of the wood walls? (I don’t think you actually showed how to built the food portion of this enclosure in your video.) Also, do you know if the expanding foam/mortar/paint is flammable? Is it safe to coat the entire wall to the very top, or should it only go partway up to prevent being too close to the heat lamp? Just trying to brainstorm here and save myself extra work so I don’t need to go back later to fix things.

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you! Yes two lights is purely light. They are daylight led regular house hold bulbs, Arcadia 100 watt halogen heat lamp, and a Arcadia uvb t5 12% 24inch light. The regular bulbs I use for light are at the opposite ends of each other. The heat lamp doesn’t provide much light so one’s on that side and the non basking side has no light either that’s where the other is.

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse

      @Kristen Faith yes you can get aluminum or steel screen depending where you live at local hardware stores for $6. Then just apply it to the frame. My basking spot is 12 inches away from my Arcadia uvb bulbs. I have the 12% but the screen will block some of it so roughly 5-6 on the uvi index.

      You could get a price of glass at least 1/4 inch thick and use that on one part of the floor so it will allow the heating. Then cut out some blocks of wood so the heat can escape the bottom and that should work

    I've been looking for easy DIY background videos and this is the best! No complicated tools and it looks amazing. Do you think I could do the background on styrofoam boards and then insert it into my tank? I'd rather not have my beardie out of his enclosure too long

      Thank you! Yes you could totally do it with foam boards

    Great enclosure, Great video... my enclosure came out really nice following your simple steps. What was the measurement of your glass? Sadly im stuck with getting my glass from Lowes. Cant find a custom glass shop near me. I got the 1/4 inch just wondering about the height and length. Thanks 😊

    excellent build video! TIL glass is expensive where you live 😂 i made a similarly sized enclosure for my snake and the glass only cost $5 a sheet

      Thank you! Yeah I know right! I do live in a very rural area so that is probably why.

    Looks great!! How did you get the glass into the tracks after the tracks were installed? Did they just fall into the tracks because they were slightly smaller

    • @ChiefSweetsUniverse
      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! I put the glue on the track top that would touch the wood. Then I put the glass in the track and slid the track into place.

      @ChiefSweetsUniverse  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you very much. I washed it with water and dried it out. To dry it out I put it in a pot and baked it on 250F degrees in the oven. Then I mixed it with coconut fiber and organic top soil
