I’ve been carrying my trusty 43 since 2018, it runs 100%. I usually load it with 124 gr. HST’s. I trust this lil gun to protect myself. One reload, I stay in cool areas.
Love the beginning of this video! Finally someone that shows actual shooting of their gun, instead of all the stupid and worthless “unboxing” videos. I rotate from several Glocks…. 42, 43, 43X, 26, 48, 19, 17, 29, 32…. Primarily though it’s either the 43X or 43. That being said, I’m content with just the 6+1 for the 43. I refuse to use “imposter parts” magazines. Glock factory ONLY! I’ve been active law enforcement now for 31 years and I’ve been EDC carrying 24/7 during those years. The Glock 43 is perfect IWB plus two spare mags in the pocket for a minimalist like me.
Good video. I had run a G26/4 for several years or the smallest G42 (no issues). Then I acquired a G19/4 and shot it so well I dropped the G26, in fact traded for a G23/5 and loved that. However, missed a short/light carry for the 9mm and then jumped for the G43 (not the 43X). The G43 gave me a world of problems from the OEM Mags and aftermarket magazines. In fact, broke the plastic mag loader (provided) just loading 6 rounds in the OEM magazine. Also, NO aftermarket plus baseplate would load the advertised plus rounds. My OEMs were “02” versions with an increase in spring gage with one extra coil over the original magazines. As far as the ETS-9 Mags they to failed to load their max without popping out of their magazines, but when I could insert them totally jammed a closed slide. Finally I took the shaving down the OEM Follower (as I did with the G42 for a 7-rd flat mag) to comfortably load the 6th round which allowed me to load 7-rounds with the Pierce +1 Extension. As far as the ETS (9 and 7-flat) I again shaved off some depth off their OEM followers and they run well with no jams. As I see it, Glock failed on their single-stacks in the magazine and count area. They could have provided proper baseplates and springs rather being strictly locked into length of their scaled-down grips. I love both my G42 and G43 and they function flawlessly in my hand, but took time to get there.
I carried a 5 shot snub nose .38 Special from Taurus for MANY years and never felt unprotected. 2 more rounds are just a Bonus. 90% of shootings require less than 3 rounds.
ETS mags are strictly range mags.Good for practicing malfunctions. I have their 30 round Sig P320 mag and it locks open every time with one round still in it.Great video. Btw check out Shield Arms +2 .They work great
I pocket carry that bad boy all day long. Put a ghost edge connector in and threw XS night sights on there with a Taran tactical +1 for in the pocket and a +3 for a reload it’s hard to try carrying owb or iwb any of my other guns cuz this is all I need. I wished Glock would make a 15 round stick mag for the gun that would be amazing. Great video.
As long as the magazine feeds and the weapon performs reliably as it should holding the slide back after the last round is expelled is subordinate to its main function
Great review, I tried other mags in my 43 and none worked reliably so I only use the OEM mags and carry extras for reloads. The only change was and front night sight and a blacked out rear sight.
Pearce +1 on mag in gun while in holster and a +4 Fab Defense extension on OEM mag as backup and you are GTG. I have carried this gun for 4 years now and have tried all kinds of aftermarket extensions/magazines... Also, TLR6 is nice to have too. It balances the gun a bit but the total package is still super light.
I like the way you run your weapon. I do exactly the same thing. I have Frank Proctor Y notch sights, Vickers slide release and magazine button along with Terean technical+1 base plates. It's not my primary EDC but when I'm at the gym doing yard work going to the mailbox taking out the trash run down to the corner store pistol
Good review I Owen the Glock 22,23,42,19,26,43x I am looking too add the glock 43,27 also I think the Glock 43 would be easier too cancel just like the 42,26,27, 43x but it all depends on which one would be best for that individual.
Magguts, Shield arms, ETS, KCI, Magpull …ALL CRAP MAGAZINES or MAG PARTS FOR DEFENSIVE PURPOSES! For range abuse, sure the aftermarket mags are fine. But for a defensive or offensive weapon, it’s FACTORY OEM magazines or nothing!
Screw Glock for coming up with stupid 02 magazines for no reason Other than to make it incompatible with pierce grip. They no longer have 01 for sale And 02 magazines are literally impossible to rack the slide to the point where the shell of the top round got dented 😤
im curious, i too am a "glock guy" not origionally tho. however i am curious why you would carry a 10-12 round capable gun when you can carry a gun of the same specs, but with 5-7 more rounds at your disposal? it just seems like a person would opt for more rounds "just in case" than to risk running with fewer rounds. when there is no difference in the size, weight or anything. im just cutious. unless of course your an assasin or something and uber stealthy ninjistic abilities are a necesity. with a g 19 and even a g 17 you can easily conceal them if thats your thing. but you can carry wither one of them with ease and not worry about printing. and besides, havent we gotten to the point that we consider everyone armed, until they specify that they arent? or am i just lucky enough to live in an overly gun friendly state?
I've been carrying my g43 for four years now. All stock except I put some ameriglo iron sights on it. Great little pistol.

MagGuts offers plus ones and twos with no added length and Pearce makes a plus one that has been flawless for me

I got the Talo edition back when and stuck a Taran Tactical +1 on the mags. Been 100% for me. Love it.

I carried my g43 as my edc for a long time. I now carry the 43x mos but the 43 is my back up. It is an awesome little gun.
