It’s amazing Jacques Cartier & Samuel De Champlain sailed here hundreds of years ago.

Would really enjoy a cruise holiday like this. Sturdy old ship, simple pleasures, plain, delicious food and pleasant company. Ports of Call in small centers are far more manageable for an old timer like me.

I would like to know the history of the St Lawrence River going from Quebec into Ontario right to Lake Ontario. It would be really fascinating to know all of the indigenous tribes that lived along the St Lawrence

My parents are from Harrington Harbour, mom's maiden name was Rowsell. They eventually moved to Prince Edward Island where dad worked as a light keeper.

*** This was an excellent documentary & travel video of traveling along the south or lower shore of the Province of Quebec in the Gulf of St. Lawrence onboard the 'Echo des Mers'.

Quebec City is the only city in North America that is fortified.

There were originally four, Wall Street in New York is named for the walls that were originally there, Mexico City in another, and offhand I couldn`t tell you what the fourth was without looking it up.
