I'm very lucky, anytime I've celebrated or been in a terrible sad way, my pastor shows up with flowers, food, whatever the occasion calls for. She's a woman so there's no sexual component. I even ate at her home on Thanksgiving!! I'm very blessed.

We as black people when we get a little money and I'll hand we go by these it big call the expensive and you have a wife and maybe two kids and you want a mansion with a hundred rooms and 10000 bathrooms what about a house just a house a bedroom for the children the bedroom for you and your wife why you have to have a mansion there was someone just recently dad pass away and he had a whole Fortress and when he died where was all the people we were all the servants he died alone as I understand he didn't trust anyone because everyone was after his money he wasn't happy he was a workaholic he was had a little craziness was in him along with things that he took that also made a little craziness and him yes he had a lot of money but was he giving it away was he building schools was he building buildings for people to live in was he given to education half of the work of having money is giving some away whether you giving it to your family I know within my community every year they give away turkeys I remember saying to one lady I lived in this neighborhood Christian years and I never got a turkey and she blurted out I have four turkeys in my freezer I said to her when one of them must be mines because I haven't gotten a turkey and I lived in this neighborhood for 50 years and she was much younger than I so look how many turkeys she might have gotten over the years that she lived in the community well I alleviate it all that because I don't need a turkey because I became a vegetarian and it really doesn't matter whether I have a turkey or not and when I couldn't afford a turkey cuz I'm just an ordinary mother I bought turkey wings and that's what we had I made do whatever it was I made you and we had a Thanksgiving like anybody else we didn't complain we had food on the table we were blessed and if someone wanted to come in and eat we would have given them a plate also so it's not how much you have is what you can give that make you a better person we is black people

Please stop blaming Christianity for things that happen in your life...I am not trying to be insensitive at all. Not all Churches are making money like Mega Churches. My church USED to give out interest free loans, and you pay it back in a certain time...but alot of ppl took out these loans for house downpayment etc. And then turned around and did not want to pay back the loan. That was money for the church to help out the members and they in turn had to stop loaning money. My Pastor and his wife both worked a 9 to 5 job, we( the church) are not paying them a salary. We have a Pastor appreciation dinner 1 time a yr and you can give gift and money is raised for them to show our appreciation but that is once a year and it's not like it a large amount. Their are some churches that take advantage etc BUT it is not all...so please stop bashing a religion just because of a bad situation that can end up happening to anyone. Please don't let the devil fool you
