Great battle rep! Really enjoy how professional, informed and articulate your videos are. I get the impression you'd be a brilliant, if punishing, opponent.
Thanks for the feedback. I’m glad you’re enjoying the battle reports! I’m generally more punishing on myself than my opponents, but sometimes things work out for me. I love playing this game and trying out new lists, and it helps that the community in this game is almost universally amazing. I can count on one hand how many unenjoyable games/opponents I’ve encountered during my entire time playing this game.
@@imperialminis857 Same, I'm still fairly new to the game, but you can really feel the passion for it that others have. I'd be interested to see how you'd play using my baratheon list.
Great video. Love the part of "pre-battle strategy" and "after battle thoughts" ❤ I AM very curious why your opponent didnt Activate RK and march on to middle objective first thing round 2. Rk are tanky enough to hold IT for a long time.
Thanks Paweł, I’m glad you enjoy those segments! I’m not sure why Zach was slow with the Rose Knights, so I’ll let him chime in if he reads this. He may have worried about putting them in range of the Bowmen too early, but I don’t know for certain. I agree with you though: they’re definitely tanky enough to endure a lot of abuse, especially with just the Stony Shore Pillagers whacking them in the face.
At 27:29 ...why you didn't activated the order of the Trappers and made a charge against the Stag Knights? The Unit was not far. Why to give your opponent the opportunity to attack/charge you first? (A mistake that i did myself at the beginning often). Claiming the Token was safe too. By the way i like your paintjob👍and the Video editing of the Battlefield and the played Unit Cards. For us viewers it helps alot.
I believe I was trying to keep my distance from the Thorn Watch, while still claiming the objective. Also, I knew I would be weakening the Stags before they could attack me, and between a Weakened token, Disrupt, and Resilience from the Drowned Prophet, I wasn’t too concerned with being punched in the face. What I should have done though was claim the token with a little more of my base, so I could have later retreated 1” from the Stags if I needed to, and remain on the token. Thanks for the compliments on the painting and editing! Zach’s units were all painted well too, and it’s always great to have two mostly painted armies on the table at once. A rare luxury.
@@imperialminis857 well, it could have gone better lol. But it’s more a skill and practice issue for me than anything else. Essentially I took the same thing as you did, with these exceptions: Balon in SM and Dagmer in SSP Moqorro replacing Aeron I can’t not put my Commander in the hardest hitting unit I’ve got, despite it making accumulation and allocation of Pillage a lot trickier. Moqorro’s first ability is fantastic, especially when your opponent plays Martells - being able to activate your SM with two Pillage without fear of Rising Temperatures, Dune Tactics, etc, ruining your plan is amazing. The second ability never came into play however, I always ended up needing the zone effect later in the game. Balon’s cards are nice, but man the loss of his NCU hurts a lot.
@brentr926 thanks for the after action report! Moqorro is killer in certain matchups but is less useful in an all-comers list. Versus Martells he can certainly be game-winning. This batrep was one of the only games that I’ve not put the commander in SM, so I totally understand your point. I thought Balon and the SSPs had some fun looking pillage generation synergy.
Would someone kindly advise the Baratheon player not to use the Baratheon dice? They tend to yield results of 1 in the vast majority of instances; they are cursed and should be thrown away.
I’ve had very similar experiences with the Baratheon dice. I believe I’ve played a previous match with Zach where he was playing another faction but using Baratheon dice, and they failed him just as spectacularly as they did here.
Hi there. That’s the “Mummer’s Ford” playmat that came out with the game’s original Kickstarter. I think you can only find them second-hand at this point. But you could probably find another roughly equivalent game mat. I know the Hits & Crits guys teamed up with Playmats EU and have a cool farmland mat you could buy that even comes with special ASOIAF objective and deployment zone markings on the mat, I think.
You can't use tactics cards during a turn where you get a Disorderly Charge. He couldn't use Ours is the Fury after the Thorn Watch had the Disorderly Charge near the end. I mean, it didn't really matter because he had an atrociously bad attack roll, but just sayin'.
Your battle report introductions are GREATNESS
Thanks Woody! Those are always a lot of fun to write.
"May the Others bugger your Lord of Light" - Cortnay Penrose, very excited to see how he does.

@TeethSink Stay tuned. I’ll be playing a Stannis list in the next battle report!
1:18:35 ... ouch ... and a smirking "What are the odds of that" from the opponent :D

Another banger! Might have to try something similar tomorrow, instead of punishing myself with Boltons. Did you paint the Baratheons too?
I hope you’ll give it a try and let me know how it goes. Zach painted his Baratheons. They look great!

What size and where can I get those token capsules that baratheon player is using?

Those dice have been sent to me by a vengeful god.
I've Got the same with all " family dices" :D dices hates me. So i use black from the 2player starter and I have a little bit better Rolls.
Anyone know where to get that playmat?

Thorn watch only have sundering when shooting, not in melee.
Yes, I believe that I mention this mistake in a rules callout box during the game.
@@imperialminis857 my bad. I guess I missed that part….lol. All good brother, great bat rep as always.
No worries, thanks man!
the pilige is not melee attack its just attack die
Thanks for the correction! This would have helped the Ironborn Bowmen.
No.... Since 2 updates it is only melee attack
@@clemred nope reade the pilege carte its just you only get pilege on meele attacks
@@ziggykargaard yes, but if you already have 2 pillage, the +1 attack die bonus works on all attacks
