In today's adventure bike riding tip Daniel Sedlak gives you 3 simple set up tips that will make riding off road a lot easier for you. Adventure bikes are heavy and not always easy to control when riding off road, so you want to make sure you have your bike set up in a way that will make it as easy as possible for you.
    1. Setting up your adventure bikes rear brake lever in a position where it's easy for you to reach is very important.
    2. Your adventure bikes handlebars shouldn't be rolled forward too far. Set them in a neutral position and then bring them towards you a little bit to make it more comfortable to ride standing up.
    3. Your adventure bikes tire pressure is a key component when riding off road. 20 to 25 PSI is what we recommend depending on the weight of your bike and the terrain that you are riding.
Sedlak Offroad School is a professional Enduro and Adventure Bike riding school in San Diego,CA. We are excited to bring more than 20 years of professional Motocross and Enduro experience to TH-cam in order to help you become a better, safer dirt bike rider.

Hasn't the tire pressure (airing down) myth been pretty well busted as it pertains to ADV bikes? (Not dirt bikes - only ADV bikes because they're heavier beasts.)

He is a pro, he raced professionally for years. His advice on tire pressure is correct. Brett and others, never raced, they come from a street riding background. Their advice is for gravel roads and hard pack fire roads. Sedlak teaches true trail riding with the big ADV bikes, not fire roads; huge difference. As he said 20 psi for a Tenere or Toureg, 25 psi for the BMW works best.

@@briangc1972 I have respect for their experience. They're better riders than I'll probably ever be. An appeal to authority remains a logical fallacy, however.

@@omicrondec Very true, they are gifted riders. If we only had the same number of hours to ride, we could have achieved that same level of proficiency. But we chose to go to work instead..... :(

@@briangc1972 yes, we "choose" work instead, but the choice between work and starving doesn't feel like much of a choice. 😂 But we're grateful for every weekend that allows riding, training, and exploring! As much as I wish my life would be different, gratitude for what I do have helps me find some peace and meaning in the rat race. 🤘🏻
