I feel like changing the goals depends on how you shop. If you buy things once a year, then adjusting the goals make sense because then you would have enough for the year. But if you shop when you run out (or even if you shop twice a year) then the goals might not need to change.
That is such a good point. I tend to stock up on black friday or during the end of year sales. I rarely shop for things mid year unless it's a specific one off item.
10 serums feels reasonable! I would include the caveat of no more than 2 like serums. So only two with hyaluronic acid even if it contains other ingredients like vitamin E. I know I have a fall/winter skincare routine and a spring/summer routine and use very different serums in each. You’re doing great!! 💕 Hoping your sweet Jaeger is doing better.
For the serum, instead of changing your goal, maybe count only your back-up. So you can have the variety your skin need open, and 5 back-up for when you run out.
I agree! That way things can stay fresh. We never know when our needs / allergies will adjust, when new things come out on the market, etc. I think having a lower number you can move through more quickly is better.
Hi Jessica I think changing some of the goals at the end of the year is reasonable. When you initially set your numbers it was either five or ten or whatever. As you have used items it has given you a better idea of what is achievable within the year and how things work for you. This updated information will affect your targets and should allow for a realistic amount per category, rather than a guess as it was at the beginning of the project. Categories like serums may need to be split into subcategories for a better understanding of your back stock. Best wishes x
I’m wondering if you need to increase your shower gel goal, just because even though you’re on a no buy you still receive PR and gifts, so it might be kinder if you take the pressure off on that one.
There are just some things I go through so easily. I think now that I have an idea of what I can finish in a year, I'll be able to adjust my goals accordingly. I like to keep a year's worth of product in my inventory so I can stock up on black friday. But I don't want more than I can use up in a year.
Since you are thinking about dropping some of the projects, maybe this is one you could officially drop but still update on. It seems like you are working on multiple items in the same categories in different projects. So you could continue to use stuff up in other projects but then update us maybe quarterly with your up to date numbers. I do really like this project, just an idea.
I wouldn't change my goal for lip balms. What I'd do is use my lipglosses instead and bring down my numbers in that category, too.
Yep change serum goal to 8 0r 10

Great update.
I'm glad you liked it! 😊
I like this project 😊❤ very useful and efficient
Thank you! 😊

That makes sense.
Don't change your goals. You can always buy new stuff if needed, no need to hoard more. At least these are my thoughts about my goals. 😅

Exactly. I feel like I have a more realistic idea of what I can and can't finish in a year.

I very rarely get shower gels as PR, but my friend does periodically gift me some. Hopefully that wont' be a regular occurrence 😅
Considering you used up 8 serums this year, I would definitely lower your goal. Same with balms! Youre doing great with those! Great job all around!

Hi Jessica, i’m in no buy from october 2023 😅
That is fantastic!

I'm definitely going to have to sit down and figure out what I should do with all of my projects so I don't get overwhelmed.
