As a father it is great to help out a son. It is even greater when the son truly appreciates the opportunity given to him by his father. Great channel. Great family.
Being someone who leases out registered Angus breeding bulls to the locals in my area, I really love seeing the Brian Sonne bulls! Cole ya got one of the best agricultural farm mentors in the state coaching you along, you’ll do just fine on the new lease. Good luck brother 🇺🇸
We all have highs and lows, and nobody likes the lows but they happen !! Congratulations on the Highs and pray we can all keep the lows away 🙏 I Love watching you Farm with great attitudes and attention to details and your Livestock 🤗
Sure glad the Sonnes are dog lovers. Ellie would have made a great cattle dog when she was younger with training n paired up with another cattle dog. Only way we could safely control our breeding Angus bulls n Angus Holstein cross grass fed custom order on ranch butchered beef Shooting a young dog in training still and then the kids pet goat. Pretty darn cold. Wonder how she raised her kids, whips n clubs.
yeah, I can't tell you how many times I've woken up in a great mood to a beautiful day, and gone outside to find animals deceased. Just ruins your entire day.
Cole, your father is really doing some great things in setting the farm up for the future with some very nice upgrades. You both are outstanding folks and the world would be a better place if more people were like you guys.
Brian - this video should have been called “Being a Dad” We got to see the lows you have to work through, your son who has learned a lot - and still has a ways to go. The learning never stops. Hopefully that new pup helped brighten your day a bit.
Cole, you don't have the financial investment in the farm that Brian does, but you are fully vested in it. The appreciation you 3 men have for each other is heartwarming. I've thought for years I would get a Corgi but didn't. It will be fun to watch Sonny as he grows and becomes a farm dog.
Sonny is a cute name for the puppy. I’m sorry about the cow dying but thats part of farming. Welcome back Brain hope you had a great trip. Thanks for sharing this with us
I hope Ellie doesn't get too jealous. What a little cutie. Congratulations on the acreage Cole. I'm sure that farmer/friend is also a fan of your channel and knows his land will be in good hands.
Very sorry about the cow passing and the bull not passing. Congratulations Cole on getting the land to farm. Welcome little puppy, you are certainly going to live the great life on Sonne Farms.
Great opportunity Cole on the new ground to work! Sorry you guys lost that young cow. Doesn't matter how many you got it always hurts to lose one. And big congrats on the new pup Brian.
My great uncle has a farm in southern arkansas near hot springs. He's the 3rd largest producer of chickens for Tyson. I worked on his farm in my teen years. I know the ups and downs of it. I have great respect for the people who can live the farm life.
That puppy is precious! Good to see Brian back. Sorry about your loss. Thanks for putting it out there though. Farming is hard. Physically and emotionally.
Wow! Congrats, Cole, on the new land rental!! What a truly great opportunity for you. With your dad and your Uncle Jeff at your side, this seems like a gift from God. And welcome home, Brian! My husband and I really enjoy armchair farming, sharing both the good and the sad, with both of you and your families. 😊 Here's to many, many more great videos.
Sorry for the loss of the cow. Hope the best for her calf. Looks like Elly will have a running mate, bet they will get into a whole lot of "Sonne farm mischief !! Prayers for you all and for all the cattle!! Be safe, God bless. Congrats on getting to lease the land, I'll send my spouse to help (haha)
I’m so very sorry for the loss of the mama cow. I’m not sure if you were trying to blame yourself Cole, but God had the final say and it wasn’t meant to be for that particular cow. She could’ve had something else wrong with her and it could’ve been a worse death. Not only did you get a new puppy Brian but Cole I think you have a calf that thinks it’s a puppy. I appreciate that you showed us what happened with that particular cow and it just goes to show that not every day is a good day. You count your blessings to find the positive or silver lining in every situation, she gave you a calf. I appreciate everything that y’all do as farmers, it’s not an easy life. Thank you❣️
Glad to see Ellie will have a little brother to boss around but Sonny will want to play and play. A big congrats to Cole on the new farming opportunity.
Congratulations on your new addition to the Sonne family! He's adorable and I can't wait to see him riding shotgun ♥ Cole, congratulations on your new farming endeavor, you're going to do great!
"I care alot" - Cole, it shows, Brian too - that's what makes you great farmers! Sorry for your loss, it's never easy on the wallet or the heart. Congratulations Brian on the new puppy, very cute. I'm sure Ellie will warm to him as he grows - right now she's just like "I'm too old for this puppy shi..." And Congratulations Cole on the new expansion. I'm sure you guys will take it under your wing with ease!
Sonny Sonne! Love the name. Another Sonne teamwork video. I’m sorry for your loss, but happy for the opportunity for expanded farming… wishing you all the best with the 2024 planting/growing/harvesting seasons.
Hello Sir, I really appreciate the communion with your dad. Moreover, this is the same towards you. you are a courageous and far-sighted person who takes great care of your animals. I'm looking at you from France Henry
Welcome back Brian. Wow what a video. A person can definitely tell thru video you are emotionally and personally invested in helping Sonne Farms in the best ways possible Cole. I'm sure your entire family sees that.
What a sweet puppy!!!! Ellie will come around to loving on the pup and be a good friend. Sorry for your loss Cole and thanks for another great video. 💕
Yea that is why I watch this channel for years now I do appreciate everything you guys do and also you guys have always been so honest about the good and the bad Cole you take such pride in everything you do and it shows love watching this channel. Nice addition to the farm Sonny cute god bless y’all
Thanks for showing the highs and lows. A lot of people just don't get to see the bad/sad parts of an operation like yours. Congratulations Cole on the new acres. It is so difficult in this day and age for a young farmer to find get that kind of opportunity. Thanks for the great videos.
Life on the Farm isn’t always a bed of roses. It’s blood sweat and tears to be perfectly honest. We raise Quarter horses and train barrel horses. It’s a matter of pride in how we take care of our animals. I see compassion and kindness in your guys operation. My grand daughters watch these videos and I appreciate you so much. It’s good clean knowledge! Thank you!
Great video, great title, the shock and blow of losing your calved heifer cast in the field,on the other hand the joy of your new pup and Cole's farming expansion optimism and taking opportunities all part of farming life!
I bought 200 open brangus heifers in 1981 and bred them to longhorn bulls hoping for calving ease. I learned real quick that breeds of cattle don’t necessarily determine calving ease. I enjoy your videos that show the realities of agriculture ……..
Most people have no idea what farm life is like ! Its hard when you lose livestock but you see it enough you learn to move on in life and do your best keep your head up and provide the best life for them possible ! So happy for you Cole that you get a chance to farm more land , looking forward to it
Hate that you lost a cow and a bull at the same time. Wishing you the best of luck Cole on your new acres. Brian you are not only a good man, but also a great dad.
It’s so great that you two get along with each other. There are many reasons why I watch you guys but the best is your relationship with each other. Thank you keep up the blessings for us to enjoy.
In a world full of entitled kids (even as they become adults) it's good to see you be so gracious and appreciative of your Dad, Cole. I work on a ranch/feedlot/farm, a couple days a week, because out of all the man's kids, all 7 of them, none of them care enough to help their Dad out. All they want to do is, take. It's really sad. Brian and Mrs. Sonne did a great job raising you, fella. Thanks for the videos. Take care.
Hii Brian, so sorry for the loss of the cow but that happens, I know you will look after the calf, and Sonny is so cute you are going to have so much fun with him, and Brian is going to spoil him I can see that, Cole congrats on getting the land to lease you are going to be so busy, All the best during seeding, A fan from Canada
So happy for you! I hope the weather cooperates and you have a bumper crop Brian and Tami are great parents doing what thay can to help you get going on your farming career
Sorry about the loss of one of your cows. Cute cute pup! Great opportunity for Cole with that lease. Love watching your everyday lives. And as cute as Sonny is, the sweetest moment is seeing that calf running to Cole for his or her, lunch!!
Y'all are so blessed to have each other, Brian it's so awesome to know that someone will be there to care on your dream and life long passion... God has blessed Y'all..
A "wasp" makes a "grass nest" in our hoses. These nests plug the line at the pressure washer screen. I have started connecting the hose ends to each other. Sorry 'bout the cow. I know the pain. Congrats on the new lease. Help take care of the older farmer. He has earned it. Farming! So glad we have farmers willing to do what you & your family does. God bless.
All those defective Electric Fence units bring back a lot of memories for me. I have been an Electronics Technician for a long time. So long in fact I started out as a TV repairman. We fixed Fencers for the local farmers. I fixed a boat load of them in my life. People used to get everything repaired. Very little got thrown away, you know back when we were supposedly wrecking the earth. But I digress lol.
It's always a shame when you get casualties. But as our vet says "When you have livestock you will get deadstock". On a brighter note, that pup is golden, going to be a handful. Very bold little fella.
Sonne Farms - Brian a nice operation and son to be proud of! I have enjoyed watching it all (ups and downs) over the years. Thanks for allowing Cole (he’s totally vested) to share with us.
Congratulations on the new rental acreage Cole! And Brian I love Your new “squeeze” Corgi’s make great farm dogs. Cuteness is an added bonus. Ellie will be a good teacher for Sonny👍
It's good that you let us see some of the lows relating to farming. If we don't see the bad, many of us may assume that all is well, and bad things never happen. Even though we are far removed from your farming operation and never see it in person, we are still emotionally involved with it. That's why it is so heartwarming to see a father and son jointly involved in the well being of both their operations. It is obvious you are a fine father, Brian. I love seeing a father and son working together and sharing the good and bad as it relates to their lives and lively hood. Cole is a mature young man who will accomplish much in this life. God bless your families.
Cool pup, Corgis are the best. I have had one for three and a half years, love her. I'm sorry for the loss, but rejoice with you all with the good things. Good luck with the new land rental, Cole.
You have no idea how much Sonny’s name means to me and how much I needed that today. Whether intentional or not, on your part, it means the world to me. Thank you so much! ❤ Rhonda
Congratulations Cole on your new venture. You will be successful. The relationship of Brain and Cole is remarkable. Ordered a Father Day gift Sonne Farm cap 👍 Found the link on your site. Thanks for posting it.
You need a flat deck to load those machines for moving.. back and forth congratulations on the lease go for it! DON'T FORGET TO APPLY FOR A YOUNG FARMS LOAN
Thanks for another Sonne video. It was informative and interesting. Wow. What a video this was. Sorry Brian that you and Cole lost a cow. I feel real bad for you and your operation. Know you will keep an eye on the calf. Hang in there. Congratulations to you Cole for being able to rent some farm ground. That is great. Farm land is hard to come by, been there myself years ago. I know you will be a great tenant and you and dad and Jeff will get it done. Happy for you. Congratulations again!!!!!!!! The puppy is so cute. Sonny is a great name for it. Sonny will be a great companion for all of you on the farm. Great and cute!!!!!!!! Well you had a busy day with everything going on. Like your new feeder wagon you got. Will be a big help. Sorry one of your bulls cannot breed. But that is why you check them. Glad all the rest were ok. The miles you have to get to your rented ground is, yes kind of hard but you have the ground. Back in my days we had two pieces of land quite a way from our farm but we just made it work. Know you and dad and Jeff will make it work also. Congratulations again Cole. About it I guess. Thanks for everything. You all take care and be safe. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.
Love puppy Sonny. Corgi's are so cute, lovable, addicted to lovins and rubbins! My Doxies are the same. Frisky, smart and make you love them even more. Congratulations Brian with the newest member of the family. ❤. Best wishes to you Cole on the rental acreage. Happy Harvesting 😊
Corgis are awesome farm dogs.We had 2.One lived to be 15,and the other 17 years. They are the sweetest ,most loyal dogs. They love to herd even humans.I have fell over, them a few times. They keep all wild life off their property, love to retrieve.Miss ours so much!
Sonny is cute! Hate to hear about the loss but glad you put it in there. This way, people realize this is real life. Congratulations on the new acres to farm.
Congratulations on your 😊new acreage Cole. Kudos 😊to your day for all his help. I’ve said this a million times times before, but you guys are totally amazing with every aspect of your farm life..
Congrats to all of the highs of the day!, what a great opportunity to have your own acreage Cole, you’ll do fine. I think you’re all going to be busy, but it’s fantastic in today’s world. Great looking puppy too! Love your channel!
Brian, I really respect and admire your comments at the end of the video giving Cole high praises. SO MUCH better than “coarse jesting” as it says in the Bible. You give Cole reason to believe you respect and love him with his work and efforts. So nice to hear loving words of praise and encouragement instead of all the “kidding” which can be harsh. You’re a wonderful father and a great person. Thanks so much. Whose dog is the Corgi ? I was confused as it’s at the main farm or so it appears. Great video. Thanks !
As a father it is great to help out a son. It is even greater when the son truly appreciates the opportunity given to him by his father. Great channel. Great family.
Very biblical, great comment !

I just love it when it's a Sunny Day and a Sonne Day
In a world full of entitled kids (even as they become adults) it's good to see you be so gracious and appreciative of your Dad, Cole. I work on a ranch/feedlot/farm, a couple days a week, because out of all the man's kids, all 7 of them, none of them care enough to help their Dad out. All they want to do is, take. It's really sad.
Congratulations Cole, we hope you have a wonderful and safe experience
Congrats to all of the highs of the day!, what a great opportunity to have your own acreage Cole, you’ll do fine. I think you’re all going to be busy, but it’s fantastic in today’s world. Great looking puppy too! Love your channel!
Congratulations Cole ! When opportunity knocks its best to open the door. One never knows when it might come around again.
Nice corgi. Thanks for all the videos, highs or lows.
Thanks !
That calf came right to you Cole! You're the daddy now haha. Little Sonny addition to the ranch/farm, pretty cute!
Love sonny and the new cafe we new a name for it to sorry for your loss 🐮🐮🐄🐄
Brian, if you were any prouder of Cole, you’d explode. Awesome!!!
Love the farming videos you do Brian ,Cole .
