My dad has been collecting platinum trophies for years when he sees a games he likes 😂 I’ll come home from work and every week he seems to be playing on and working on a new games platinum. I think he’s near 100 now lol

Man. My dad had the energy to do so back in the day (2008-2014) he didn't necessarily platinum hunt but he trophy hunt casually. Now he just plays warzone and nothing else (like from release to now.)

I started trophy hunting in 2015. I have now amassed a collection of 160 platinums.

My first trophy was in 2011, but i mainly played multiplayer games back then until just recently in 2019 when i kind of started trophy hunting on and off. Im level 405 and have 108 platinums but it honestly could've been 3x more platinums. Also i subscribed, enjoyable video man.

I currently have 310 platinums. Took a while to get. The most proud platinum I got was mortal kombat 9 that was really hard to get.

I’ve been trophy hunting since 2009. My first platinum was a game called Split Second fun racing game. I earned that in 2011 and it opened a bad addition lol. That same year I platinum Uncharted 1 , 2 and 3 as well as Heavy Rain. 5 platinums in 2011. I now have 90 platinum’s and will probably have over 100 before this year is up. I have so many games to go back to from PS3 to PS4 to PS5 even the Vita as well. I have to force myself to take a break and get out of the house and do something. I know it’s not healthy to sit in front of the tv all day but it’s highly addicting.

Whatever game I tried to platinum (I got 7 platinums and a lot of near platinums), the progress toward the platinum made me absolutely hate every single game I tried to platinum itself and just stop playing it like for ever. Even games I absolutely loved and liked to replay before and they seemed as good on the 10th playthrough as they were on the 1st. Now I can't even come back to them, because my impressions from the game changed so much and most of the good memories were driven out by tedious grind, anti-fun difficulty requirements and trying to do stuff that has nothing to do with anything in the game story or gameplay, but is there just to idk probably prolong the gameplay and justify the price, who knows. Trophies are one of the worst things introduced into gaming and they completely ruined it, since a lot of people like me just fall for the addictive desire to "complete". But "completing" a game meant something very very different before trophies were introduced. It was something meaningful. Not collecting 1 million bolts or killing 10000 enemies in multiplayer and such sht.
Would be really nice to have an option to completely disable getting trophies, not just the notifications.

The Crash trilogy is an easy-ish 3 platinums if ur into Crash, Crash 4 is hard (was a nightmare until patches) but I recommend if ur a Crash fan & a completionist.
Most CoDs aren’t hard but if u wanna truly suffer go for BO3 platinum.
I’ve got a criteria for getting a platinum:
1) Most importantly, its fun.
2) It’s not ridiculously hard. (BO3 🤬)
3) It can be done in a timely manner, doesn’t take months of playing to get.
4) it’s not overly tedious (Might go get that MGSV platinum at some point)
Maybe in the future for the crash trilogy, besides 4. I know the pain of BO3 (kind of working on that one as well). MGSV is on my backlog tbh.
