You are throwing out some really good ideas man and i love your perspective on it. I feel like i've been saying this to myself for years now. I know it's easy for us to say and harder for them to put into practice but i know for sure it's doable for Bungie. I just want patrol and the open zones of Destiny to be more enticing again. Appreciate the kind words. Like you say it is probably much easier to say than do but it does feel like, if implemented, an easy solution to rotate through and give players something to consistently chase. It helps everyone, new players and old.
I really liked a lot of the ideas you put out. Letting each destination have their own set of weapons with their own unique origin traits is a great idea. I believe for the older locations there should be reworked bounties that work similar to the bounties that you see on Europa and the Moon, since free-to-play players have no way of focus farming for literally anything, outside of the core playlist vendors. One thing that I would also like to add to your idea; drop-rates wise, is to bring back the weekly flash-point: maybe this new flash-point would guarantee a certain weapon drop of that destination for that week, or just generally increases the drop-rates of all weapons from all sources just for that week.
I think the flashpoint could be an interesting way to do it, gather all the guardians on one location to ensure a high population and up the rewards. Let the people feast.
You have some good ideas here. Even refreshing all the old guns with origin traits would be a huge win. Like the prophecy dungeon. Having old season weapons or sunset weapons drop as world loot would be a huge quality of life change. There is so much potential Good vid. Having a discussion on the future of the game to keep all content relevant is needed. Ive been making a few videos of this theme as well.

I’ve been saying this for years!! There’s literally no reason to go to a destination. When was the last time any of us when to fail safe on Nessus? Another thing that could help is taking a page out of the divisions book and having targeted items on destinations and playlist. Like “smgs more likely to drop from vanguard playlists” or “high stat boots more likely to drop on the moon” and have those rotate daily.
Sounds like a great idea but bungie is going to have to open up all the worlds for patrols for new players that didn't buy Shadowkeep, beyond light or Witch Queen. As a new player I only have Lightfall so the moon, europa and the throne world are paywalled for bounties.
At the very least you'd still be able (in theory if it works as I suggested) to earn them from public events and lost sectors. There would need to be adjustments and maybe that's a change Bungie should do regardless.
