I am Gupi Kanti Tripura. I am a theology student of BASC. I am watching from Bangladesh. I am enjoying Hope Sabbath School. please Pray for my study. I am from Hinduism. I am a Christian in our family and relatives.
What a wonderful study with honest an open heartfelt comments from the panel. I am finding this SSQ study of the Psalms so enriching to my life. Thank you GOD! Amen
Psalms 34 :1,2, I will bless the Lord at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make her boast in the Lord: the humble shall thereof, and be glad.
Happy Sabbath. I am Emmanuel from Zambia and I have been following the lessons. I hope and pray that God will open up more ways of reaching His own people. I also pray that there maybe at least a bigger Adventist Hospital in one of the big cities of Zambia. May the Lord continue helping us and provide ways in enabling us deliver His warning messages to the whole world.
I’m always blessed watching Hope Sabbath School. I used to live a life of evil without God, but I know He was always after me to win me over. Protecting me and not deserving His help. But Today, He’s the most important being in my life. And I teach Sabbath School about once a month in Missouri, USA. There’s always a certain pull back toward evil it seems, which makes a close relationship with God so important.
Tq Hope SS for this wonderful study. I love the testimonies shared by the panels there. We're being bless by this program. I can see that everyone is very sincere in their walk and experience with the Lord. I thank the Lord for blessing this channel that hv help many ppl to grow in Christ. And that is amazing. Praise the Lord for all His blessings 💗🙏
Testimonies can be so powerful - each lesson we are deeply thankful for a team that helps us all understand the Bible better. We all struggle, but we do strive to have a sincere walk with the Lord.
When i went through my husbands death, the song that gave me strength is “one day at a time”. Yes He guided me one day at a time. Praises to His holy name..
My heart was distressed ’neath Jehovah’s dread frown, And low in the pit where my sins dragged me down; I cried to the Lord from the deep miry clay, Who tenderly brought me out to golden day. Refrain: He brought me out of the miry clay, He set my feet on the Rock to stay; He puts a song in my soul today, A song of praise, hallelujah! He placed me upon the strong Rock by His side, My steps were established and here I’ll abide; No danger of falling while here I remain, But stand by His grace until the crown I gain. He gave me a song, ’twas a new song of praise; By day and by night its sweet notes I will raise; My heart’s overflowing, I’m happy and free; I’ll praise my Redeemer, Who has rescued me. I’ll sing of His wonderful mercy to me, I’ll praise Him till all men His goodness shall see; I’ll sing of salvation at home and abroad, Till many shall hear the truth and trust in God. I’ll tell of the pit, with its gloom and despair, I’ll praise the dear Father, who answered my prayer; I’ll sing my new song, the glad story of love, Then join in the chorus with the saints above.
Blessings from the Father, and thanks for taking time to share the message with the world beloved brethren. Thanks you Hope Sabbath School God bless you all. Watching from ST.LUCIA 🇱🇨
Mmmmmmmh! I love that imagery of we can only get a chance to look at heaven when we are flat on our backs. Powerful lesson. Lets' keep singing the song in our starnge lands for other prisoners to hear. God allowed this state so that He may bring us back to Himself. Where we are meant to be. God is still shepherding us. Thank you for this powerful lesson. Happy Sabbath!
My song? God my Saviour, my Ebenezer. He holds my past, merciful to me now and He knows my future. For I know who holds tomorrow; for I know who holds today. The Lord has been merciful to me .
The humbleness songs i response to is greatest word I Love ❤️ you Lord more than me because you ❤️ love me and you created me and all you made the heaven and earth all belongs forever ❤️
I appreciate Shawn's reading of Genesis 3:8. The emotion behind this passage is real and I feel his heart on that! Our first parents accepted Satan's lie and here we are in this present age feeling the aftermath of such a lie.🥺
There are so many songs that is the Lord's song. Ie "We have this hope", "Great is thy faithfulness", "The old rugged cross ". Omg I could go on forever 🙋🏾♀️🙋🏾♀️

I love your very fabulous programme that teaches me much more inspirational learning areas of the lesson..Your all are awesome Teachers for the Worldwide audience..thank you kindly.🇯🇲❤️🙏
Lots of powerful insights today that I will be sharing as I lead Sabbath school class this week. Thank you Hope SS team (including a/v and media) for enriching our studies. During the discussion of what the Lord's song is, I had the thought to challenge myself and our Sabbath school class to write our own psalm and be prepared to share it - whether that means a song of praise, a lament, a testimony of what God has done for us, or something else. I would love to see a book of psalms from believers today. Perhaps in heaven there will be such a book. And maybe someone would like to share their psalm here in the comments to bless others?
Amen! I truly and dearly appreciate Chelsea's testimony about her eating disorder. God is good and glad see she can sing her personal "Lord's Song" of deliverance in this strange land. Thanks for sharing 🙂🙏
In the Netherlands a non Christian group wrote a song about Psalm 137. The lyrics are here below. By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down Yeah, we wept, when we remembered Zion By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down Yeah, we wept, when we remembered Zion There the wicked Carried us away in captivity Required from us a song Now how shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land? It's hard to see suffering all over the world. Knowing God's promises and knowing he will return soon brings us so much Hope. We will be keeping everyone in Haiti in our prayers.
Just one little correction that I think needs to be made: Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah did NOT say, "Our God CAN deliver us, but even if He doesn't..." They said, "Our God whom we serve is able... and He WILL deliver us from your hand, O king." I'm afraid their next words, "but if not..." have been misinterpreted. The antecedent is "if that is the case," meaning, if the king really did intend to go through with throwing them in the furnace. So, "but if not" meant that, if the king changed his mind and let them off, they still weren't going to serve his gods.
They were taken as captives to Babylon because of rebellion against God's expressed commands to: A Not Follow the ways of the Babylonians in false worship B. To Not desecrate the Holy seventh day Sabbath. C. To not intermarry with the foreigners They did all of the above and God took away His protection from them and allowed them to become captives to the Babylonians. That was them. How about us? Are we just as rebellious, following the ways of the world, profaning or being careless about Sabbath observance marrying outside of our faith and worshiping idols of money, social position, clothing, cars, houses, etc. There is help from God who reigns in the Heavenly Sanctuary and will send us help from there. God's ways are depicted in the sanctuary service and can be learned from studying this wonderful theme. Psalms 20 and Psalms 77.
If I could give Psalm 137 a title, I would entitle it, "IF ONLY". I believe the reason why Israel went into captivity was because of their disobedience to God. God had warned them several times that if they followed other gods, they will be punished. Example Deuteronomy 4:26-27; Jeremiah 52:27-30. They took God for granted and refused to obey, and now the enemy is provoking them to sing a song that they once sang for God in the temple. With much regrets they wished, " if only we had obeyed God we would not have found ourselves in this predicament. A lesson for all of us to learn.
This lesson is yet another example of God's perfect timing. My friend, a Publishing Min. Director is now in the strange land of needing to bury his elder son. The son is a past student of mine, he was a young husband (married just under three years now) yet for no apparent reason, he ups and dies while doing something he and his family loved. In these dark trying strange lands, the song that replays constantly in my mind is this one entitled He Will Be There th-cam.com/video/0wolWTgz5As/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUdaGUgd2lsbCBiZSB0aGVyZSBzZWNvbmQgZHJhZnQ%3D
Judah was a rebellious nation. Some of the captives were taken into training to serve in the government. God had required them to keep on living positively and not let their numbers decrease. Jeremiah and others were seeking to comfort them. Refusing to sing may have been more rebellion. They were not guiltless. Daniel kept up his worship though he had to accept being made a eunuch.
Why should GOD be blamed for the sufferings in this world? Is GOD the evil men who through greed and hate rob, kill, and cause all kinds of hurt to fellow humans? Stop blaming GOD and take responsibility for your own evil actions, change your wickedness to good, obey the commandments of the LORD, and the evil will stop.

When i went through my husbands death, the song that gave me strength is “one day at a time”. Yes He guided me one day at a time. Praises to His holy name..
At this time I was in a foreign land and my husband was killed
My heart was distressed ’neath Jehovah’s dread frown,
And low in the pit where my sins dragged me down;
I cried to the Lord from the deep miry clay,
Who tenderly brought me out to golden day.
Refrain:
He brought me out of the miry clay,
He set my feet on the Rock to stay;
He puts a song in my soul today,
A song of praise, hallelujah!
He placed me upon the strong Rock by His side,
My steps were established and here I’ll abide;
No danger of falling while here I remain,
But stand by His grace until the crown I gain.
He gave me a song, ’twas a new song of praise;
By day and by night its sweet notes I will raise;
My heart’s overflowing, I’m happy and free;
I’ll praise my Redeemer, Who has rescued me.
I’ll sing of His wonderful mercy to me,
I’ll praise Him till all men His goodness shall see;
I’ll sing of salvation at home and abroad,
Till many shall hear the truth and trust in God.
I’ll tell of the pit, with its gloom and despair,
I’ll praise the dear Father, who answered my prayer;
I’ll sing my new song, the glad story of love,
Then join in the chorus with the saints above.

Listening from Kenya when a wonderful study very inspiring
When we are obedient to God, we are singing the LORD's song because Jesus ALWAYS did the will of Our Father.
They were warned about their rebellion against God and what that rebellion would bring. Part or their sadness was regret over their disobedience.
Totally agree.

There the wicked
Carried us away in captivity
Requiring of us a song
Now how shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our heart
Be acceptable in thy sight here tonight
Let the words of our mouth and the meditation of our hearts
Be acceptable in thy sight here tonight
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down
Yeah, we wept, when we remembered Zion
By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down
Yeah, we wept, when we remembered Zion
By the rivers of Babylon (dark tears of Babylon)
There we sat down (you got to sing a song)
Yeah, we wept (sing a song of love)
When we remembered Zion (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
By the rivers of Babylon (rough bits of Babylon)
There we sat down (you hear the people cry)
Yeah, we wept (they need their God)
When we remembered Zion (ooh, have the power)
