WOW! first time listener here at the encouragement of my brother who was a microlight tourist pilot in Zambia where he encountered the seventh day adventists at work and was so very impressed with their belief and dedication to the Lord. Derek is a fantastic moderator and I love how the panel is allowed to input their thoughts into the discussion. I am going to add the sabbath school to my daily devotions from now on.

Lately when I hear the account of 1/3 of the angels being swept by the dragon's tail, I see it also as his tale. So while we've been given graphic imagery and I've always just taken it as a tail, remember that the war was a war of ideas where, unfortunately, 1/3 of the angels accepted the dragon's story, his tale. In this life, the question still remains: "whose report will you believe?" To whose tale will you hold?

Satan I don't think left heaven of his own will because it says Satan and his angels fought and didn't prevail but were cast out. Cast out doesn't mean leaving willing but being told to leave with no coming back
When we think of Satan's position as a covering Cherub in Heaven .Yet he fell from this position because of pride and arrogance. We aught to pay attention to guard our hearts from the temptation to exalt self . The scripture says pride goes before a fall . This is clearly seen here .
John 1:29 the next day here talks about the next day after baptism not on the day of baptism, this is clear only when we read further on.

Not a third of the angels at first sympathized with satan, but nearly half of the angels at first were deceived before the physical war in heaven broke out.
“Then Satan exultingly pointed to his sympathizers, comprising nearly one half of all the angels, and exclaimed, These are with me! Will you expel these also, and make such a void in Heaven? He then declared that he was prepared to resist the authority of Christ, and to defend his place in Heaven by force of might, strength against strength.” 1SP 22.2
Also, the question as to whether satan was cast out physically or with harsh words or something, the war in heaven was physical.
“Fearful tests and trials await the people of God. The spirit of war is stirring the nations from one end of the earth to the other. But in the midst of the time of trouble that is coming,-a time of trouble such as has not been since there was a nation,-God's chosen people will stand unmoved. Satan and his host cannot destroy them, for angels that excel in strength will protect them.” 9T 17.1
Define war and its tools.
I think the continuous disobedience of Satan towards God guidance was that he wanted God to do something to him so that the angels will see God as bad all the angels will follow him. Unfortunately our God is a living loving God with so much patience. But He has his limits
Thank you for the Bible study. I just like to say we should consider using the King James Bible from the 1611 edition. If you watch the u tube channel from Brandon Peterson. His channel is called TruthisChrist he proof that the newer versions of the Bible do have many verses that is changed and in the process do not spread the thruth about Jesus Christ. Brandon is not an Adventist but I am sure God is working in his life. Greetings from South Africa.
I learned in college that in the Bible where satan was cast out to the earth, that word “ earth” means without form and void….and satan may have “ tried” to create unsuccessfully.
The story of Redemption by E.G. gives us more insight...
