    I am grateful for this video; I came down with TB and it appears that I have a drug-resistance TB; this video helps me understand what lies ahead for me. Much appreciated.

    I want to thank you sincerely for your videos. The format is a nice change of pace from the exhausted format of powerpoint slides and lecturers. Also the scope seems just about right for preclinical medical education. Sometimes online videos can be a crap-shoot, but I hit gold wit your videos.

    What are the drugs to treat xdr tb?

  • @PlayJewel
    @PlayJewel 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I think XDR-tb stands for extensively drug resistant tb, not extremely drug resistant tb. There is also a ‘totally drug resistant tb’ that is much worser and emerging and is very important to mention, and hence to study, research and develop treatments for.

      jcmad23 Christian check the resistance using xpert rif.. if it still sensitive then use the first line drugs plus streptomycin

      Goto doctor and let him do his thing. It may also be just re infection(and not starting again of old disease) of normal tb. Not necessary it is drug resistant.
