The part of the song's lyrics that gives me goosebumps every time is that while they link to Ellen's state of mind and move the listener's heart, they are titled "The Devil's Child". It is a good representation of the final season of "Attack on Titan" where everything looks different from a step back perspective.

Akuma no ko, this ending music, is Eren's sentiments to Mikasa and Armin. "The world is cruel" mirrors Eren's first few words to Mikasa when he saved her from the kidnappers "The world is cruel, if you want to live you have to fight..." but this time, Eren is not fighting for his own survival "The world is cruel but I still love you."

Akuma no ko depicts Eren's personal growth, inner conflict and the philosophy behind his actions. It does not depict anyone else like zeke, falco, etc, EVEN IF THOSE CHARACTERS HAVE SAID THE SAME LINE THEMSELVES.
The song echoes to the first ED song of AOT "Utsushiki Zankokuna Sekai" which was from Mikasa's perspective -- a song that laments the essence of existence.
You know Historia is singing this Song to Eren. 2nd Last line of the song is I have a Child of Evil growing inside of me. And of course when that line comes Historia is shown.

『The rumbling』はエレンの独白となっていて、エレンの迷いと覚悟を知ることができます。
『悪魔の子』はガビの独白の部分もありますが、サビの部分は1期のエンディングの『美しき残酷な世界』に対する、エレンの返答となっています。
ミカサに対しては一切の迷いを見せず、「君を愛す」と言うのはエレンらしくて惚れますね。

Idk why you reacted to the full version instead of the ACTUAL ending first, the ending hits harder when you listen to the ed and watch the visuals at the same time. For a first viewing i would've liked it more if you reacted to the actual ending first and THEN go and listen to the full version because the visuals here are from the show not made especifically for the ed.. well good reaction regardless.

y'all watched the wrong video. the actual outro is way better imo.
I know the song is the main part... But i wish you guys would also pay attention to the scenes shown in the intro or outro, it will really give you the feels. Same case for rumbling intro. The animators animated it with more quality for reasons. Also I swear nostalgia will hit you when you look back at the scenes after a long time.

He had his friends.... home is a comfort zone where you can just remove all filters from yourself and be yourself... where you can share your pain.. By lying to Mikasa about hating her Eren just wanted to push her aside so that she will he able to take a right decision (manga spoiler) If you have read manga you know what I am talking about.. and by pushing Mikasa and Armin away Now Eren has no one he can share his pain with no one where he can remove all of his filters and no one with whose he can shed tears... he chose to bear all the burden upon himself to keep his home his family happy... This destroying his place to return...

Eren loves Mikasa more than Mikasa loves Eren... Just like Isayama said "I draw Mikasa more beautiful when I draw from Eren's perspective"
And if you have read extra pages of 139 chapter you will know who Eren actually protected.. He cared only about his friends... Paradis, Marley, Government, Royalty, Power nothing matter to Eren ... He just wanted his Friends to live a happy and long life.. He didn't cared about anything else... And even when he was turning his own people into titans hi made sure that his friends stay away from the wine...(Manga Spoilers ahead) If he wanted no one would have able to even touch him in his founding titan form but he didn't stop his friends from defeating him.. He didnt save the island as it was later destroyed by the world.. but Eren was successful as his friends lived a happy live.. Eren knew that there was no way to end this cycle of hatred ... so he just saved his friends from becoming a pray to this vicious cycle.. he himself told to Armin that he doesn't want to die.. He wants to live with Mikasa he doesn't want Mikasa to forget him or think about other man.. but he als wanted her to happy... with him or without him...

If you notice on episode one that he is dreaming bout something he's dreaming bout whats happening now that's the power of the Attack titan letting its future holder see there past and future memories. It only became more clearer when Eren kissed Historia's hand during the ceremony and he was frightened and became gradually change onwards the moment he said across that ocean is there enemy they will never be free.
I hope that after AoT ends people will come back to this and watch it again :,(

This is an over generalization but, I feel that Season 1 Part one’s ending is Mikasa’s feelings towards Eren, While Season 4 Part 2’s ending is Eren’s reply to Mikasa.
