Bismillah :Doesnt the oil and butter make it not burn(known fact for melting chocolate ,infact i think oil+butter works alot not to burn foods eg i use it for vermicelli and later drain all oil.and add some suger then little milk,it taste amazing k ,but you can correct me if did research trued it etc) and yet enough heat latent (internal heat)is generated due to that medium created and plus covering
It may wirk dont just dismiss because of opinions i suggest try half the amount first and do your own judgement first.every experience may b different
Esp good quality choc vs cheap etc when butter and oil and popcorn itself. it may be that every ingredient used by someone else is not exactly same so different boiling points depending on its content

I make chocolate popcorn on regular basis for this first make popcorns like you male regularly after that spread the chocolate in the same utensil as chocolate will melt in the heat of popcorn itself stir them continuously as the chocolate will spread evenly 😊
first off, add the melted chocolate AFTER cooking the popcorn, add the butter to the chocolate BEFORE melting it, after you do that put it on a tray and freeze over night and boom perfect chocolate popcorn
