You don't see the men's team smiling and smirking when they're walking onto the pitch. People can debate whether it portrays a lack of focus and attitude, but it certainly raises questions. Watching these videos, everything seems too nicey nicey in that environment which is quite possibly a huge factor why standards have dropped. Man management is important in team sport but has to be blended with sending firm messages and calling out poor performance. It doesn't look like that's happening.
Some of the women in that team have given 100% in every match in this Six Nations and are beyond reproach. I feel for them as they have deserved better outcomes. They are Gwenllian Pyrs, Sisilia Tuipulotu, Georgia Evans and Alex Callender.
