So if you’re having trouble with that first strum pattern I would recommend working on your basic rasgueado that is with your a m i i I have a video on that and also a video on the “dirty rasgueado”. Between those two vids, that should help you develop those muscles and finger independence to achieve this strum better with some more time. For that strum in particular, just make sure your fingers are relaxed, it’s doesn’t have to be as intense as a straightforward rasgueado, just a little more relaxed and not as strong as an attack.

If I understand you correctly, then you probably mean a “rasgueado” strum. A staggered finger strike/strum…
