I saw Jose play here in Las Vegas at a local church. He did a set of wild Flamenco then followed by a set of old time church music with his wife singing. It was an odd mix but he was great!

You dont really need that much nail. Just enough to pluck the string. Smooth them off with a glass nail file. It is super fine and will sand your nails without nicks of cracks.
