Strong year for Indie games to show their potential. I really like how the best games of the year and the indie games list have very much in common everywhere. Speaks a lot about the current state itself. Edit: Didn't mean to downvote AAA games, just my take on this year's indie dominance.
I don't usually play indie games, but I read somewhere on reddit that if you want games to be fun again just start playing random indie games and that worked 100% for me. While I don't hate AAA's, I was just tired of the same nature.
Animal Well, Hauntii, Schim, Nova Drift, Reus 2, Unicorn Overlord are some the best I can remeber at the top of my mind right now. Can't even remember how many of indie titles I played this year,,, no regret at all 😅
1. Nine Sols (+ Mouthwashing) 2. Homicipher 3. Crow Country Top 3 and I would recommend to anyone who hasn't played these till now. Please suggest me some of the ones you liked!!!
Sorry to say, but I found 2024 to be the worst year for both 3A titles and Indie Games. Although, this is a pretty good and well worked upon list, I just didn't like this year's releases altogether...

That's a great observation. I watched like plenty of videos and all of them had recurring indie titles. Good to see people having fun ;)
Agree, AAA will have a big year in 2025 I guess. I still haven't gone through the releases of 2025 though

Why is no one talking about I AM YOUR BEAST?? The game is crazy and one of the underrated games of this year for sure 😃
I've heard from people that have played it and most of them had positive things to say...

I would say Unicorn Overload, Animal Well, and Pacific Drive!
Nobody talks about "Bzzzt" but it was personally my favourite of 2024.
There are plenty up on this list, but its good to know a different one :)

Without any doubt, Unicorn Overlord. I just can't tell how much in love i am with this game lol...
I'm sure you're in love :)
Either this or I don't want those 30-min long rambling videos with only 10-15 games.
Good stuff right here 🙂
Thanks man!
Dungeons of Hinterberg is just to good to be true. Will definitely try it out this weekend.
