It's a amazing place , went to Leysin in 1977 on a school Trip . It was in the summer , but you could tell it would Great in the winter too. Went on the cable car up into the mountains one with a small lake on the top . The ice rink was great , actually learnt to skate . The people were friendly and helpful .one day who knows might go back and relive those times .

Not sure for the hostels but there are many budget accommodations such as lodge, apartment, chalet in Leysin.
