I bought the 8-string baritone Guild last year. Guitars like these are sooooo much fun. The quality was so ridiculously good that I decided to buy a 12-string as well. Always wanted to have one, but the cheaper ones I played in the past (this is 30 to 40 years ago!!!) were so painful to play and I didn’t want to spend thousands of dollars for the good ones, not knowing yet what a 12-string would mean to me. But after the positive experience with the 8-string baritone I took the risk and man, am I glad I did, because it plays like butter, it’s easy to tune and it STAYS in tune forever. And all of this basically thanks to your videos. Actually, I don’t think I ever did thank you for that. So…. QUINTON AND PAUL, A BIG THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ❤️ ❤❤!!! 😊
I own the Alvarez GA 8 string and a Guild * string baritone. I love playing the baritone in D to D tuning with medium gauge strings. Less muddy sounding. It makes it easier to play with other guitar players that are in E to E tuning. Just capo up 2 and your are back to E to E.
Thank you, Quinton and Paul.
Alvarez is always looking at how they can improve their products. Chris Meikle and his team are visionaries.

Love the 8 string! I bought the standard scale GA 8 string Alvarez from MV… super cool guitar!
Great explanation. Love the beautiful playing.
Wooohh!
The double courses lend a harpsichord quality to the fingerstyle bit Quinton was playing at around 4 minutes.
For when you want to get your Link Wray on at the campfire. ;-)
Beautiful instruments.
You did not mention wich Capo you would recommend for use with the 8 string
