    I absolutely love the chemistry you guys have. How Megan is a talker and Mike is not. And Mike's laid back personality, with Megan's outgoing personality. You guys are so brave, that's how I see your family. In all aspects, the number of kids, the financial side, the traveling. I sincerely love watching your family.

      You cannot let others desires for you to keep you from reaching your potential....that's not exactly what you were comunicating but it's a good thing to consider....in other words be who you are even if it means isolation from your old life.

      I think that their personalities compliment each other so well that it just all works out. There are people who have huge houses, tons of money and no kids and they hey don't get along half as good.

    YES! Thank you, Mike and Megan, for your speech about going for your dreams and not settling for anything less. I wish more people would have this mentality.
    My husband left his engineering job 5 years ago (We're celebrating that milestone this Friday!) because he was completely unhappy and HATED his job. He worked with the same company for over 10 years and had just been offered a promotion with a very substantial raise. The problem is that he'd be traveling a ton and never be home. We had 2 small children so that was just not an option for us. He wanted to be a present father, not one that just saw his kids on the weekends. He left his job so that we could pursue our own business. Our first business didn't work out like we had imagined and lost all of our savings and retirement. We do not regret that decision one bit. While we lost a lot of money, we gained SO much knowledge about business. We now are both self taught graphic designers with our own freelance company designing visual brands for businesses all across the world. I don't say this to prop ourselves up, I say this to show that if you have enough drive and work hard enough that you can do anything you put your mind to. Of course there were MANY sleepless nights, scary days, having to ask for help to get us through having zero money as we transitioned after our first business. We were just dead set and absolutely determined that he was not going to go back to a "regular" job that he hated that much after we had worked so hard to get him out of the rat race.
    We have now been full-time RVers for nearly 2 years and feel so completely blessed that we get so spend all of our days with our kids and each other. Our family follows yours on Instagram @livingourdash

    Thanks for the pep talk, Mike! Your words struck a chord in me because I too believe that we shouldn't just settle and give up our dreams because we think there's no point to chasing it. Even if we never fully achieve all that we hope for, it is the journey towards that dream that enriches our lives and makes it all worthwhile.

    Very good video, I don't know how you two keep your sanity with 9 kids, Very inspiring, Me and my girlfriend have been on the road for about 4 months and we are a young couple, we get asked all the time how do you afford this? How do you keep your medical insurance paid and do you keep your social security paid if you don't have jobs? These are great questions especially for young couples traveling full time? For me and Julie we sold are houses in Nashville and made a very good profit, we didn't have any mortgages, so this money well keeps us afloat, as far as medical insurance, we have a great plan through the Nashville Musicians Union, we both work in the music industry, I'm a music producer and own my own music video production company and Julie is a session singer and a musician, so we both are self employed and self pay into social security. The music business can be very stressful and we just needed a break, so we decided to take a year off and travel in a 24 foot THOR motor home, whats ironic, Julie just came off the road doing a 9 month tour with Carrie Underwood as a backup singer and it was her idea to do this trip, some people were just born to travel, Your journey is very inspiring, looking forward to your next video, safe travels.

    I have been sitting here binge watching your videos because I am seriously considering going full time in a rv. I grew up living this life and I also am a member of the LDS church. I am a single mom of 7 kids. 4 kids left at home. One adult child and 3 under 18. Searching through youtube to see if there was anything new or something I needed to learn before I take off on the road. I really appreciate that y'all are doing this. Thank you brother and sister!!

    I think what you are doing is great. I am adopted from South Korea and I grew up in the Midwest. I find it wonderful that you are blessed to be able to adopt from China. I have a few friends who are adopted from Korea and China. I was born with albinism and so I have blond hair and blue eyes. I'm legally blind but I am so glad that I have had an opportunity to grow up here in the US. LOL But God is good and I was able to be adopted into a nice family. I grew up and went to Bible college in IN. I met my husband there and we have been married now for 16 years. We have two children and we have home schooled for the past 10 years . We have put them in Christian school this year and they enjoy it much. I enjoy your videos and I am glad that there are other families who do fun and fascinating things with their children. I hope one day I'll get to meet you in your travels but for now I am glad you have your yoututbe Channel. God bless and be safe.

    Friends, I know this is an "old" video, but your pep talk makes this my favorite of all your videos, truly. When I became an unemployed, single (divorced) mom, I poured my heart out to the Lord for 2 months about how to move forward and He clearly answered me with a home daycare that has been consistently and increasingly blessed for going on 8 years! I don't know how I came across your channel 4 days ago but I've been watching it to relax on and off and just came across this one and its so inspiring. Firstly major props for addressing MLM's and also not forcing it down your viewers throats. Then in addressing your faith saying whatever you believe in rather than the in God only kinda route. But the end message about coming from hard times and working for what you want is exactly what I needed to hear. Had a rough few years and this year has been amazing ( touch wood) and now I'm trying to decide what to do in the new year and now have a clearer vision. Thanks and best wishes on your continuing journey!

    You and your family are living life out on the leading edge! You are part of our society that is growing daily of people who KNOW that there is more to life than what we've been told to believe. You are a part of the new pioneers of humanity who want to understand and experience the world as more than what we "think" it is. Its great to see others choosing to rise the steps to live life this way. It's not easy at first because it's hard to let go of feeling like everything you do is "risky" and of letting go of your fear of "Is this going to work out?" as being a required part of your existence anymore. Some days it is literally putting one foot in front of the other just to get through the day but then you get there and your like "Did I do that?" and you are amazed at yourself at what you've accomplished. The one thing I've noticed is that as that way of thinking and believing gets pushed to the side, I've started seeing everything as a path to experiencing joy and happiness even in those moments that are challenging because I know that being in awareness of how I choose to get through them is what helps my soul expand and the best part is that I'm teaching myself and my children awesomely beautiful and loving lessons about how to love genuinely ourselves and each other and to do so generously!
    You are teaching how inspired thoughts become inspired actions and I sincerely appreciate that you are helping to show others how living the life you truly want AND deserve to live is completely doable, fun and loving, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
    Sending love and happiness to your family and blessings of abundance as you all continue on your journeys together! 💞

    It's almost 2am, and I'm not sure how I landed on this video but I'm so glad I did! I appreciate both of y'alls openness and transparency. Especially about how you've both were open about turning your lives around to living your dreams, and that it wasn't easy and that life wasn't always easy. I'm at that point in life now were change needs to happen, and hearing you both speak about taking those risks and getting out of being complacent really hit home, so thank you so much for that. I think you both are so Kool and love just listening to both of you back and forth. Keep interrupting Megan that's what us women do. Lol It doesn't seem to bother him one single bit either. You are living my dream. You are both awesome!!

    It was funny ... at the end when Mike started his speech, he was interrupted by the text bing, the kids ... and I had to laugh! He is a very easy-going, patient man. And Megan's more like me, I think ... "God grant me patience, but hurry up about it". lol
    You two are very cute together!
    Just like me & my husband....
    😍

    Hi, new fan here and this Q&A is great. As it is 2019 summer!!! it is very interesting to see you two are fairly spontaneous and I have watched One Tribe of Many, Sarah and Solo and 9.5 kids. They are planners. So it’s fun and interesting to see both work.

    We changed our life and just spend the last three months traveling and visiting family. Now we are house sitting for the next year in Pennsylvania. People continue to make comments like, "You guys moved again?" But we love living our life. We can serve where ever we are at. Thanks for you channel. Just found you.

    I just found your channel & am so happy I did! You & your family are lovely (adorable kids) & I'm glad you've been fortunate enough to be blessed by God with the opportunity to spend this much time with each other & have experiences & adventures that I can guarantee your kids will always hold near & dear to their hearts. You're very lucky to have this type of closeness at a time when so much heartache is happening worldwide & I have deep admiration for those that have found a way to combat the negativity that surrounds so many others. Also, I must say that I truly feel sorry for those that have left negative comments over videos like this. It's sad when others feel the need to pick apart someone else's happiness, especially when they're trying to do so much good (especially for their kids) at a time in our world when it's needed the most.
    Hope you guys enjoy the holidays!

      I agree with this except if that "something" to get there is by scamming people through a MLM.... not cool. We don't, in the end, get to a dream by loading off other people just because we can be fake and with a bubbly personality (as is the case of every single doterra high up I have ever known). Eventually (maybe not even in this life) that dream will have to come bite us in the butt sadly.

    I am not being critical but RVs are a rarely designed for 11 people (especially children) to exit quickly enough in case of fire. I RV'd as a kid and even lived in one for 6 months while building the family home. Though the RV was designed for 6 and 6 lived in it I can honestly say a fire would have been a killer (or burned us) had that happened while we slept. I would recommend frequent fire drill, like once a week (include some while kids sleep) so they leave automatically. Kids tend to hide from fire not leave it like we think they will.

      Lisa Bissett A fire drill once a week? Kids don't need to repeat a fire drill once a week.

    Oh my goodness!!! SO for the past 2 years i have had this idea of traveling with my husband and daughter in an RV and see the country. I have seen others do it and think it looks like FREEDOM to me. My daughter is 10 and just entering Middle School come August and think this time before High School would be the BEST time to do something like that! I am also a part of a Multi Level Marketing business that has provided so much more than i ever thought. I would love to be able to build my business to a level that this kind of opportunity could become reality! I JUST came across your page yesterday and have been completely inspired by your family! Thank you so much for this video and your honestly!

    You guys balance each other well. If Mike had the personality of Megan, You would spend more of your time talking over each other instead of listening to each other. If you both had Mike's personality, You wouldn't talk as much or communicate with each other or talk to new people. Mike is probably more the thinker. When Megan said that they'll try to do these monthly or weekly (I don't remember which) Mike said don't say that. You were balancing each other. Megan dreaming; Mike rationalizing. I love your relationship. I would tend to be more like Mike. If I would marry someone who is more of a thinker, we would spend lots of time thinking and little time talking.
    (Major subject change😊)
    I like channels that are this size. The ones that are huge seem so impersonal and they will probably never see your comment, but here you can respond to at least some of them.

      +Sheri Fox, this is Mike. Actually Megan is more of the thinker. Her brain is constantly in motion about everything. I'm more of the doer. I'm very task oriented and not really a deep thinker like Megan. We compliment each other well in that way too!

      lu see they Unschool, it's a where they have their kids learn what they want and not by a schooling system... basically a free will to do anything and watch documentaries and learn about what they want... kind of like when people go to school for 12 years and only remember certain stuff... so their is no tests or anything... personally i call it bullcrap cause I dont feel like they will have good knowledge and won't get good jobs or have good knowledge of anything in the world...

    • @LeahNicoleTarot
      @LeahNicoleTarot 7 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Amanda Nicole so u think test makes you smart? Cause u do realize that public n private school does not teach the basic needs of life ..... It's practically 12 yrs of dumbness and test doesn't even have anything to do with you knowing anything ..... Also kids does not retain 80 percent of what they learned in school sooo why call something you loved to learn about bullish?

    • @hw7348
      @hw7348 7 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Amanda Nicole you really only NEED to learn reading, writing, and math. everything else can be learned through discovery. most homeschooled kids don't get the luxury to travel the world though, but I can imagine their kids will be more well rounded and intelligent than the large majority of adults. I was homeschooled, and my parents took a similar approach to my learning. I learned the basics from them (writing and math), but everything else I learned through discovery on my own terms. I have done just fine in life so far. My homeschooled education better prepared me for college and life. I have a degree in economics & mathematics now (I graduated magna cum laude - top of my class), and I work from home in the tech industry. homeschooling is definitely not for everyone; you have to have a lot of self discipline. if you can't handle that, then it's not for you.

    • @adiposeNarnian
      @adiposeNarnian 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Basically, from all I've seen, unschooling works really, really well if you do it from the very beginning. People that go for a traditional schooling approach of any kind and then switch to unschooling, even if they want to make it work, it's very hard to really keep going and not just do nothing. But if you go for an unschooling approach from the start, children are born wanting to know everything, wanting to learn all they can, and if they are encouraged, they keep going. Often the guilt and shame and stress of traditional education is what kills a love of learning stone dead. In places in the world where education is a luxury instead of an obligation, kids pray to learn, and that can be the same anywhere. Often people have an instinctive intuition for when it's the right time for them personally to learn something, and given the chance, they will learn. Basically if you teach kids reading and basic math and logic, they will dive into the things the interest them.
