Glad to see Xpeng doing so well. Probably like Xiaomi, they have a lot of back orders. We received our P7+ in mid-January but we ordered it about six weeks before. We were told we had to wait 2 months for it to be manufactured. Xiaomi is more like a 6 months wait.
Byd, Geely and Xpeng look like they will probably have the majority of the market between just 3 companies
You have no idea how popular xiaomi are
They will be top 3 it’s just matter of time
Geely has to really consolidate those companies... 19 different competing companies under one umbrella. Why?
I doubt that you know the market.
Tell me how many BEV companies there are - and how many electric cargo trikes not only the Chinese but all of Asians use.
@@OrdoXenos1020...because - unlike Stellantis - it can. And - opposite to sinophobic western thought - it leaves its subsidiaries maximum freedom to try to achieve the best tech possible.
@ i guess they will need a few models b4 that happens tbh
Can you do a video about the catastrophic fire at the Mount Holland lithium mine in Western Australia
Fake news. Pravda is like Murdoch. In other words these are not reliable sources.
@paulc6766 it appears it could have been a large bush fire near the mine. Still a little concerning after the huge toxic factory fire in the Melbourne lithium recycling plant
Well done Sam.
You chose XPeng
I like the P7 myself. Great design
Also XPeng has been a good earner for me on the Stockmarket with the swings
Keep up the good work Sam 🎉
Chinese BEVs really started only 5 years ago. Imagine where they will be February 2030...5 years from now.
Progress doesn't stop.
Tech improves and gets cheaper at the same time.
Li motor and nio are my favorite
We (normal people) all want cheap, long range EV cars that are quick to charge up. The rich folks want other things, but they are a tiny minority of the market.
I'm sure glad I never got suckered into buying an EV with all the spin that's put out about them. My IC is cheap to run, inexpensive to get spares for, cheap to insure, costs me around $200 a year to service which I can do myself with the only things required are air cleaners, oil filters and the occasional bulb replacements and I can get a 500 Km range in like 3 minutes fill up time. Sure it costs me money to fill up the tank but because I get what I pay for which is me getting from A to B with reliable trouble free motoring it's well worth the money. Absolutely no reason at all to buy an EV.
What’s the difference between the P7 and the P7 plus
As an investor i have to say i dont even know what the point of NIO is anymore. The point is long lost and as a company they dont make sence anymore. They build their swap stations but for bloody who?! Nobody is buying their cars.
Swap is dumb. Nio is a "culture brand" now. AKA money furnace.
Nio isn’t building station just for there cars, cherry partner with Nio and will be releasing there battery swop models and many more manufacturers will fallow.. Build and customers will come
The issue with Nio is they don't make money on their top end cars which usually have a larger profit margin so they don't have to sell as many and then they went down market with Onvo which is a lower priced vehicle which means the profits are lower and they have to sell more of them to be profitable. I was an investor in Nio because they make good EVs, but you're right as an investor I couldn't see a profitable path forward for them with the increasing competition in China.
@@cryptosforwife2300 Battery swap is very dumb when charging times are dropping like a stone, and the Nio's of the world can't afford that amount of CapEx. Plus the money furnace known as Nio and their narcissist of a CEO are completely unfocused.
@ The Nio money furnace is hurtling towards bankruptcy.
16k for a Mona with barely profit for the company and people think wow look at those sales.
Deepal up 34%. No mention??
Jai Hind. Being a fanboy, I had been a Xiaomi bull, but I picked up the stocks on the high side. Now my returns are only so-so but doing much better than my other China bets.
This is about cars, not stocks.
Haha, you’ll find me in the comments under this video later. Drop a like to thank me for sharing the Moonacy Protocol project 😉.
Xpeng G6 renting in Europe: downpayment A$34,656.65, 72 monthly rent payments of A$499.39 - and in the 7th year it´s still not Yours.
Who to blame? Definitely not Xpeng
@@kamsunleong6648 The brand? No, certainly not, it´s tariffs and taxation. I just wonder how over here in the EU everybody: journalists, scientists, politicians, lawyers, economists are having lengthy discussions why Europeans seem to be a bit slower in adopting electric mobility with a myriad reasons from technofobia to lack of knowledge - without a single word about the real reasons: high pricing of EVs - high pricing of electricity;
You mean “smashes”??
The way this is explained, January sales data in China may as well be ignored.
Analysts usually add Jan and Feb together and use YoY to correct for CNY
All I need to know is how many decline from Toyota 😂
Xpeng 45 % up last 30 days thanks for shorting the stock please come back 😅
Guess what? BYD is up now 20%. February 6th and 7th. Nice 2-day return xpeng up 7 percent I'll take it 😅 please short again. We miss you
4.4% EV sales in Australia, how's your exponential growth theory going Viking lol. Dropping every quarter, everybyear since 2022... you're EV world fantasy is collapsing, tell us more about "game changer" things like mystical sodium batteries and 1000 mile EVs. Lala land.
You paid $20000 for solar panels and $60000 for an ev bragging you get free charging.... $20000 solar panels aren't free and you overpaid for your cheap quality Chinese made EV. you're $40,000 in the red so we'll done on saving $80 in fuel per week 😂
Xpeng car is peanuts in money, near zero profit margins 😅😅
Chinese New Year in 2025 cuts across Jan and Feb, unlike 2024 when it is all in Feb. So although we should be expecting deliveries for both Jan and Feb 2025 to be impacted, it should not reach the lows of Feb 2024, especially after taking into consideration the increase in EV market share from 2024 to 2025.
I haven’t seen returns like this in a while. With this market, 486% APR from Moonacy protocol is incredible.
Nio will dominate in long run…if you don’t have battery swap, you might as well be a blackberry.
How deos Xpeng sell that many cars in January. I find it particularly hard to believe considering that their cars don't look that good.
16k for the Mona with barely profit for the company.
New Model Y Juniper is looks wise an XPeng G6 clone, hard to believe XPeng cars don’t look good 😂
Inroduction @ 7:07 "Hello my friends, welcome to the channel. I'm Sam Evans, your watching the electric viking."
I think the intro is since the beginning, until that introduction sentence. Yes, sometimes the intro is very long like that, nearly to the end.
NIO battery swap is the future 🎉
NIO is the best. Battery loses its capacity to hold charge over time, so the electrical vehicle loses value with time much faster. It is smart to buy NIO which has battery swapping service. if you buy another brand EV, you will throw your car in to thrush in 8 years since you cant swap the battery with other brands!!!
Xiaomi is the best, Su7 Yu7
XPENG produces very cheap cars. Because of that their sale numbers are very high. What about the profit XPENG makes from these cheap cars???
Is this guy a paid shill for the Chinese car industry? The things he says aren’t outright false but you have to question the financial motive for the messaging
Xpeng and Zeekr are making nice cars. Xiaomi, is impressive, as well. BYD has some big structural problems despite making great cars.
The worst thin is their battery. They should put version 2 of their blade batteries in all vehicles asap.
@@shreeshsaurya4203 Interesting. I thought BYD had gone that route full on since it is great tech and they should feature it. There are cracks in the BYD armor.

I know the government isn’t the best and these Chinese car companies have crazy predatory pricing meant to obliterate competition, but more affordable cars are more affordable cars. And a good number of people around the world need them.

The commies are coming big time in the EV.
I thought XPENGs sales were mostly from Mona? A cheap $15K that they probably are making no profit on. But you don't mention that, but bash ONVO which is double that price saying ONVO make no profit?
He is a xpeng fan. Mona is barely profit for 16k
Interesting....th-cam.com/video/8iFinjNh9HM/w-d-xo.html
Sam, tell us about the most popular candy and ice cream in China. It would probably be more interesting.😝😝😝😝😝
Nio's sales are like legacy auto. The more they sell, the more money they lose.
They built the biggest infrastructure in China..4x that of Tesla in China..and now at 3100 swap stations averaging over 100,000 daily swaps…writing on the wall..you swap or you are a dinosaur.
@@peterlongo4470 Battery swap is a terrible idea. Soon, regular charging will be faster than swap. There are ~1.5M fast charging stations in China and you yammer on about 3,100 swap stations. Nio is going bankrupt, so who's going to run those stations after that?
@ and fyi..Nio has the most charging stations in China as well…for the those who like to stand out in rain for 30 min
@@machoopichoo2
Chery, Changan, JAC, Polestar, Geely have joined the Nio swap network. In fact CATL has come out with their own swap network with several manufacturers also joining their network such as Changan, SAIC. The world largest battery and pretty much the entire Chinese industry are now in on the swap network
@@peterlongo4470 So even more stranded assets when Nio goes bankrupt. 30 min? Zeekr 007 model, can charge from 10% to 80% in just 10.5 minutes. Xpeng G9 model boasts a charging speed that can add up to 200 km of range in just 5 minutes. And charging times are decreasing exponentially, which a swap cannot do.
"In most cases, you can expect to be in and out of a Nio Power Swap station in about 5-10 minutes, including the swap itself and any brief waiting time." Great if five cars are ahead of you.
Battery swap is a terrible idea, if for nothing else, it's bad business.
