    Very nice setup ya built here Mr. Brain. Yep to many roots to pull out so plant the whole thing was the way to go. Love the hot water trick on getting those tubes to form. Stay safe over there!

    Hi Brian
    We also live in Perth, are these required to be food grade containers ? Where do you get the containers from ?
    Thanks

      @@WhitneyHoyle g’day, all of these drums are foodgrade at manufacture. HDPE plastic is foodgrade. Just be mindful what the drums contained before using them. Obviously you don’t want to use something that previously held oil or herbicide. I got my latest batch of drums from “ Enviro recycling “ in Malaga, for around $4.00 each. Their phone number is 0424 490 889.

    Brian Bullock great video. Do you have any videos on how to convert a plastic bucket without the tap hole?

      Thank you. No sorry I don’t use the round buckets as dutch buckets. I’ve seen them done using electrical grommets where the return pipe comes through the bucket.

    Brian Bullock how high do you cut the bucket from the bottom? I mean how high is it lol. Hope that makes sense

    • @Brianshydroheaven
      @Brianshydroheaven  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      G’day Michael, on a 20 litre drum I cut it just under the top, if there’s a ridge moulding line this is easy to follow. These green drums are 25 litres, I just traced a line equal to what my other drums are cut at.

      G’day, no links sorry I’m using Aqua one 104 pumps mostly. They are pretty cheap, seem to last a couple of years.

    • @Brianshydroheaven
      @Brianshydroheaven  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@BLUNTGAMINGCHANNEL yeah I think I’ve a bigger pump in an aquaponic system, maybe an aqua one 105 pump. This month I’m hoping to get a poly tunnel built and redo my systems. Bury the reservoir and run everything using a 3000 litre per hour pump. There’s a downside to that in that if the one pump quits or malfunctions everything can run out of nutrient solution at once. I guess I’ll see how it goes. Have a great weekend.
