I binge-watched this drama last weekend, in 2 days. This stars Crystal Yuan (from Love & Redemption) and Zheng Yecheng (from Love of Thousand Years). This rom-com drama is pretty short, just 22 episodes (which can be considered long when compared to Korean dramas). This is such a light drama when compared to the recent dramas I’ve watched, The Blue Whisper and Who Rules the World.
I enjoyed this drama as there were some hilarious scenes. I thought it was refreshing to have a female lead (the role of a princess) chase the male lead (a commander). She knew exactly who she wanted from E01 and went after him like a hawk. She initiated their first kiss! 😂 Thankfully, he reciprocated her feelings at E06. Luckily, there was only one key event that kept them apart for like 2 episodes (which isn’t too bad in Cdrama land). They have a happy ending, so I cannot complain.
I know I’m a bit late in making this video since the drama finished airing about a month ago. But the main couple was just too cute, so I couldn’t resist. I haven’t seen a Cdrama with that many kisses in a long time (no complaints here). 😂 It’s been a long and busy week at work for me, so this video doesn’t have many overlays or lyric text. I kept it simple for this video.

I know I’m a bit late in making this video since the drama finished airing about a month ago. But the main couple was just too cute, so I couldn’t resist. I loved this drama so much too! Great chemistry between FL and ML! I watched it many times already and never get tired of it! My favorite drama of the year so far.

Since I watched One and Only, I quietly shifted to costume dramas and It's been quite a while since I watched a one with so much skinship even compare to modern dramas, nice watch.
I was a bit surprised this drama passed China’s censorship. 😍 Overall, it’s a cute watch.

Ikr! My videos are usually pretty long. 🤣 But this drama was shorter (only 22 episodes) compared to other Cdramas (which are ~40+ episodes).
I've actually watched this drama in 3 days. Production is not quite the same as The Blue Whisper, but it's still a nice drama to watch. Love how every time the lyrics "could I have this kiss..." comes on, you incorporated the couple doing that. A simple, but beautiful edit regardless. Thank you!

Thank you! This drama was a quick watch because it was short, just 22 episodes. The actress from L&R improved on her acting in this drama. I would give it a try as it’s such a light drama, not like WRTW or TBW.

ooo I'm so glad you edited this one, I started it but only got watched the first couple episodes, but that scene at 1:30 got me going, oh wait wait wait....I think I need to go start this up again haha I liked the simplicity with the great coloring and B&W usages :D and the folding of the scene to black at the very end
I kept this video really simple since I was too busy with work this week. That particular scene at 1:30 is in E6, the first half of the episode. Don’t get your hopes up too much. 😅

I have watched this actress only in Love and Redemption, looks like she has good chemistry with this co-star like she did with the one on the other show.
@@Sikhindu This drama is a cute rom-com, it’s not too complicated. I feel that the script could be better. It’s more like a filler drama. If you’re looking for non-foolish female leads, then I wouldn’t recommend you watch this drama. 😂 I would recommend “A Dream of Splendor” instead. The drama is still airing right now on WeTV. The casting is a bit more mature, but man the main leads have crazy, sizzling chemistry! And they are not even officially together yet! You should give that drama a try.
This song was from my childhood too. It came across my mind when I saw all those kissing scenes in drama! I haven’t seen a Cdrama with that many kisses in awhile. 🤣 To be honest, the main leads are great actors, they just needed better scripts. They have so much potential of making the drama better.
The male lead was in a previous drama with Zhao Lusi called “Love of Thousand Year”. It was a pretty good drama. So he’s not a bad actor. The female was great in her role in “Love and Redemption” and her acting has improved in this drama. Her new drama with Liu Xueyi (the one who played Senior Brother Hao Chen) is supposed to be coming out soon. It’s called “Love Never Fails” and I’m looking forward to her pairing with him.
@@MK916Editz I had to laugh when I saw that Sr. Hao Chen finally gets for be with her without extracting a rib out of a guy he likes 😹 God, that man is beautiful, I loved him to the very end even though he was bad news 😹😹😹
@@Sikhindu He is very handsome. He was good in his second-male lead in Ancient Love Poetry too. I’m looking forward to Love Never Fails. I believe it’s another xianxia drama and those dramas are usually interesting.

I might not mind a not so smart female if the show is short. I enjoyed Decreed by Fate. To tell the truth, sometimes the two guys communicated without her noticing and also kept her out of conversations. She just wouldn't get it, it's not her wheelhouse. 🤷 So maybe this would be a good drama for me to watch in between those they are intense.
I am currently suffering and almost done with Love in Between. The main couple is as bad as the one in The Wolf, super toxic and what not. The saving grace is some good performances by other couples, one with a spoilt brat (the actress does a good job making us hate her) but the guy is so chill and everything I would want. Then there's the little couple that isn't doing stupid sh*t to each other and there's a third person in there, it's a weird funny throuple but the script is trash. 😢🤦 I would say the good performances were worth it, same circumstances as in The Blooms at Ruyi Pavilion. I hated the main couple but the side couple more than made up for it and the third wheel had surprising and wonderful ending. Totally worth all the pain.
I am currently reading Heaven Official's Blessing and I am not enjoying it. It's good I watched season one already so things are not new to me, but the book explains a lot that's putting all the wuxia and xianxia I have watched into context.
That being said, compared to what I normally read, this is a very, very light read. I hope to finish it soon and go back to my serious books. I will have four more books after this first one
My coworker told me to read this as she liked it. I see why she wanted to try when I talked about the books I read, we are opposite people. I like stories that give me trauma I guess, and I read a lof of nonfiction too.
