This show was surprisingly a very good xianxia. The comedy, romance, angst (towards the later episodes), and themes of family, loyalty, friendships were shown through each episode. This drama has great character growth and many bonds between characters. The relationships between these characters are GOLD and will be very memorable to me. I don’t remember the last time I laughed so much while watching a xianxia. 😂
I had hoped for a better happy ending. The production could’ve added just a few more minutes of the twin sisters in human form and some sort of reunion for our main leads. I haven’t seen/heard the news of a special episode.
I will have to admit the main leads are really good at the emotional scenes. They can sure cry and pull on your hearts. I ❤️ how Chen Xingxu was not afraid to cry onscreen. You can feel his EMOTIONS. They deserve awards for their performances.
Youqin absolute unconditional love and dedication to Yetan makes him one of my favorite xianxia male leads. I had to adjust to his deep voice at the beginning 😅 but came to love his character really quick. The main leads commitment to each other makes this one of the best xianxia of 2023 for me.

I think in the history of me loving a couple in a drama, Youqin and Yetan are the two most equal and most desirable to me. They each found freedom in each other, they each fought for each other, when they loved, they loved forever. They stood by each other even in obstacles. They accepted each other’s flaws and greatness. And they loved with all there is to them. Youqin and his shards with Yetan gave me love that transcends just one realm. I really have to praise Chen Xinxu and Li Landi for these adorable brave characters. And I really have to give it to Youqin and Yetan for being one of the best male and female leads characters

In all my years of watching dramas of all cultures, they are one of my favorite couples with the most chemistry. ❤
It is one of the best dramas that I've watched. I laughed, cried, I almost felt every emotion while watching this beautiful drama. Its story, its cast, its OSTs, its effects and the emotional bond of the characters all of them are amazing. Normally I'm not interest in the side couples of the dramas but I love every couple of The Starry Love. All of them are so cute, their relationships are amazing to see. I give Qingkui the best sister award by the way. She is the best sister I have seen in the drama world. All of the cast are so talented and Chen Xing Xu's playing of four different characters is amazing. He is such a good actor. All the cast are so good. And I hope they can make a better ending and give us the real princesses, not the flowers, with their beloved ones. I want special episodes like Immortal Samsara. My gosh I love them so freaking much. Everything about their story was perfection. I especially love how desperately in love Youqin is with Yetan he would literally do anything for her, even give up his life, anything for her. And she returns that love tenfold too. My babies they are so beautiful and so hard to get over. Oh and Chen Xingxu & Li Landy’s chemistry was out of this world. My fave pairing this year for sure and years to come too.
I still can't get over how good this drama actually is. Props to Chen XingXu and Li landi for portraying Liguang yetan and Shaodian Youqin successfully. When they laughed I laughed, when they cried I cried, it's actually those two who made the emotions more believable. An incredible pair with great chemistry, great acting and great onscreen presence. Someone might say that the second couple was better but I'll definitely say that main leads dynamics , timing, acting, expressions were on point. They literally nailed it. I don't think I even have to talk about the love story. Their love was superior and above everything else, unconditional. They practically fell for each other four times. The way they both were ready to give up anything for each other is commendable. The fact that Yetan was termed is the demoness of doom while Youqin was practically a hero, an immortal and deity who saved the world, never once changed his view and love for Yetan. He would practically fight the whole world for her and the same was for her too. She can give up her life just to save him whenever needed. They were the best crack head pair when needed and they were also the best when it came to loving and supporting the other. They were free with each other and there was equality in their relationship. The best. My one the top and fav pairs of all time. One of the best xianxia dramas of all time. I'm still not over them even after finished watching it. They were literally addicting. 💜💜 Thanks again for making such an amazing edit.

Yes, I feel the same for Youqin and Yetan. They are the most beautiful on screen couple ❤❤. Both have portrayed their roles amazingly. I am in love with their characters 💕💕.
Their relationship was so much better than the side couple for sure. That's bc the actors who played Yetan and Youqin were able to deliver such amazing and talented performances. It's in the way they look at each other, the way Youqin just stared deeply in love at Yetan, the way Yetan smiled and smirked when looking at him, the emotions when Yetan cried, the sad and hurt look on Youqin's face. The 2nd couple weren't able to deliver such affrction through their facial or physical interactions whereas the majn lead couple were able to. And that's what makes them the best couple in the drama and in all dramas for me.

What I love about this drama was it didn’t take forever to get something across. There wasn’t no love triangle (there was that one fairy in the heavenly realm) but that didn’t get far. Love Youqin and Yetan relationship. The growth. And how unselfishly they both were willing to sacrifice themselves for the people they love. My favorite Cdrama so far this year!

I'm so tired of the typical love triangle stories, the misunderstanding, miscommunication, jealousy, backstabbing, etc. So grateful this drama is different and focus solely on romantic love and sisterly love. And i love that Yetan loves Youqin and only him despite all shades and shards of Youqin. And Youqin lovrs Yetan truly with all shards of himself too. I absolutely love this drama so very much. ❤
Goshhh this my top tier 2023 cdrama.... I love the chemistry between the main cp and side cp, i love the plot, the acting, the cinematography. To me the feeling when watching this are so real. I love Yetan and Youqin relationship. When two people have their own pain and heal each other with love. I love youqin character that would do anything fr her, protected her openly and always support her. I love Yetan character too, she's strong girl, since young she survived by her own and grow by all the pain that she got. I never can be strong like her. I love the way how she doesn't feel hesitation to do something she want. They were create for each other. Thought the marrige was wrong at first but they are fated to be together. They fall in love by the time. I love how detail this story show the process how their realtionship grow. What a beautiful and pain love story. The pain, angst, comedy, happy i can feel its. Masterpiece!

I was thinking a lot how the romance would be if they wouldn"t be switched. Yetan's boldness and personality was the ice breaker for Youqin. QingKui wouldn't be so daring and wouldn"t cross the line. Yetan def treated him different than others. On the other hand he was the first person who always protected her regardless of her "wrongdoings". We can already see in the 1st ep., that he is intrigued by her and doesn't get the reason behind it. Their chemistry, similarity (despite what is seen on the surface), loyalty and care for each other is greatly portrayed. I really love the lack of a cliche scenes. Very refreshing. All thumbs up!
i gotta say, the actor that played youqin? his ability to cry like his heart is breaking fr deserves an award lol

Love this drama so much. Kudos for CXX and landy li. Both of them have a great acting and chemistry. No offense maybe because they have experiences as a child actor. But starry love have a nice story different from other xinxia. The ML and FL have a health relationship. After all we didnt see many blood frm the lead couple. After TSL I think Youqin and Yetan can be a bencmark how ML and FL act in Xinxia. The best drama xinxia that I had watch until now. Hope CXX and Landy Li had a good script to collaborate again. After Dilireba and Cheng Yi I think I adore CXX and Landy li now. They deserved to be famous as a young actor

wonderful edit, as always! I loved this cdrama, the 2ML and the 2FL the supporting cast was awesome too, the only thing I wasn't very happy about it, was the open end. Yes, the inmortals and the Void demons will live to see the twin flower come back eventually (hopefully) but the mortal emperor won't be as lucky to see his daughters again. :(

Damn. It is only 10 days ago that I started this show and I just finished it. 10 days! That tells you how good I found it.
So, as far as Xian Xia, this is the best one so far for me. The writers eliminated the flaws I found in Love and Redemption, then they did a great job with editing, the OST, and the score sounds a lot like the cinematic music I listen to from Ivan Torrent, so I was at home from day one.
Episode 1 blew my mind and kept the whole thing very engaging. Even though its just a love story, they did a great job and included details that added depth to the story.
If I was a big fan of romance, I would have put this in tier one. What an I saying, I do love those that are well written. I'd say this is a tier two show pocking at tier one, in between.

Now, I love that the FL was able to overcome her bitterness and reciprocate love which many people showed her. This is in stark contrast to Shaoshang in Love Like The Galaxy. The latter was empty even after too many people poured love into her, and became vindictive towards the ML, choosing to punish him.
By the end of the show, I didn't feel that Shaoshang had learned to love and forgive. She reminds me of this woman in this show here whose tribe was massacred. Many times she kept reminding the FL here to forget her family attachments and only seek revenge. In the end, she wanted to destroy the whole world. Such people are damaged beyond repair, and she's like Shaoshang in that sense. Only that Shaoshang directed her anger towards one person.
I loved the nuance of the relationship of the main couple, when Yetan was chasing the shards and became hesitant about putting her husband back together, I thought she was having a annoying dumb moment like the many that the amnesiac FL in Love and Redemption had. But I said wait and see, then I understood her hesitation. She knew her husband very well and realized this is the first time he's ever chased his desires and freedom, why would she want him restrained again?
Maybe Yetan was able to respond faster to people loving her because her sister had been showing love the whole time, I don't know. But I really love that she got used to it and appreciated it, and she didn't have to work too hard to get to they point internally.
The ML was such good husband material, so nurturing when she needed him. In her darkest days, he was there, providing a pillar of support. My God, he was amazing!
The three guys the ML play deserve their own video 🤣 I loved Fire Demon the most. He was so simple and adorable, like an overgrown puppy. This show really made dumb men attractive on this show. Fire Demon and 1st Prince were the (dumb) and attractive and loyal men of the show.
I will rewatch the show starting tonight just so I can enjoy the moments I already rewatched in many epsiodes.
