I will never forget before the tranformation. My Dad had to get our yacht towed to safety and he was a seasoned Skipper. Yeah, it was bad back then. So much better now!!! Thanks so much for uploading this! I was wondering how they did it and now I know.
The old passage was extremely danderous - experienced it Once and that was more than enough for me. The Seaway is fantastic, 100% safer plus now in 2017 the influx in marine life and coral is amazing. Very popular fishing spot both from boats and rock fishing.
Admirable achievement. Cheers from Peru. I hope I visit your beautiful land soon, that’s why I’m looking for some history before I go there; and it is amazing.
Good to see a vid like this is still around. Funny but the Sharkcat and the Yacht rolling over weren't at the seaway. It was near Comboyura Point at the top of Moretone Island
my boat SAINTS WON WAS THE FIRST BOAT TO COME THROUGH THE NEW BAR FROM THE OUTSIDE, what a ride as they were still dredgeing , we went out through the old bar, and in through the new , the water was raging, my boat was stolen from labrador in 1990 A 17ft seafarer viking, red and white,BF356Q any body seen it ? would love to know where it is ! ps before the new bar I would run the old bar at night, now theres a thrill !
Thanks for the video never knew all my life the process it took to get it done how amazing !!! I love going there
WOW - Interesting info. I remember the days that there were no walls. I used to wander along that way fishing. But I'm now 62 year old.
WOW. Well done everyone involved in this transformation!!!
I’m glad I come across this. Always wanted see the process of how it was done.
