I was going to comment more, but you have a poor grasp of military tactics, geopolitics and economics.
You can’t submerge a submarine in the Straits of Malacca - it’s an international shipping thoroughfare with a minimum depth of 82 feet. By international convention, submarines cannot transit the Straits submerged. It’s also in the sovereign territorial and contagious waters of Malaysia and Indonesia.

Know why we have to do this?
    9 Aug 1991, Singapore's 26th National Day.
Indonesia and Malaysia conducted a bilateral military exercise just 20km away.
Guess the name of the exercise?

As a Singaporean with a father who dedicated 42 years to the Navy, I tell you this While our Navy may be small, our missiles are big. It's not the size that counts, but how effectively it's utilized.

Anti aircraft heat seek missiles you mean? The ones in this video are special grade class projectile-torpedo, meant to take another submarine off grid on contact. And missiles systems now uses AI, easy to operate, lock on and get the give go to fire the missiles and they go off like wild dogs on a hunt for a A5 Wagyu beef, needs for utilization is unneccesary on a battlefield, it is a hunt or die situation and a little bit of luck.

after the fall of Saigon in April 1975 thousands of South Vietnamese refugees left South Vietnam in barely serviceable boats and headed towards countries in Southeast Asia. One of my ex-colleague was a ex-naval serviceman onboard a RSN patrol boat and they were tasked with intercepting these boat people. Some of these boats were occupied by armed ex-ARVN personnel and their family. Thousands of rounds and rifles including M16 armalite rifles and M60 machine guns as well as grenades & rocket launchers were confiscated by the RSN from these refugees. The RSN personnel gave them food and fresh water and asked them to leave our shores. A few of these boats had their outboard motors repaired by the RSN in order to make them seaworthy for the remaining of the journey to seek refuge in other countries.

Doesnt exist, 2. Encrypted, boxed up in 70 foor of steel, sent 2km underground, locked in another vault with a 5meter thick door and 20 meter thick concrete perimeter all with only 1 way to access the information. So unless you are some formidable john wick or formidable hacker you arent getting no more than simple specs seen on wikipedia.❤😮

Think about these questions. Why would Singapore have to defend itself? Is there anything in Singapore that is of worth to Malaysia and Indonesia? In my humble opinion, only reason for Singapore to be attacked is if Singapore started it, e.g. unfair land and sea grab, sowing seeds of chaos in the neighbouring countries. In my view, its not about Singapore being able to defend itself but is it a dependable team member (or friend) of SEA, especially with its so called military might.

Given the equipment is one thing, one need to also cater for personnel who operates it efficiently. Take the small little case in Little India riot in singapore, the personnel (police) can't even effectively contain the riot but instead running away with their guns. When it comes to war i dont have high hopes and majority of our army are just NSman working who think about medical leave everyday. I would gauge with assumption we have 100 subs, we only have 50 subs on the ball who know how to operate and fighter jet half as well. Just my assumption.

Indonesia & Malaysia can fight a 10 year protracted war. Can Singapore fight that long?

    • @ek6710
      @ek6710 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

Absolutely not. That’s why the strategy is to be swift and decisive. It’s in the SAF motto. I believe the main aim is to give a shock effect and occupy part of an opposing country and setting up defensive lines. Then other international organisations step in the help peacekeeping. So while many will just give the reason “oh, SG can’t fight for long” no doubt, but the mission is to gain a swift short term victory

Why? Because nobody dares to make the first gung-ho move and finish the job fast? I bet you that Malaysia will go bankrupt and its people starved to death before they can even complete 2 years of the so called 10 years protracted war. Who is dumb enough to start a war when the people are starving? The poor in Malaysia are poorer today than when Covid-19 was still active. More than half the population don’t even have more than RM10,000 in their EPF for retirement. Think about survival first before thinking about war.

    Is This Weapon Useful!? 🤔
And Does Singapore Really Need This Weapon!? 🤔
Singapore itself is the main partner for Indonesia and Malaysia.
In general, the country will not be attacked by foreign enemies.
So what's the point of Singapore having a Military!? 🤔
Even though Indonesia and Malaysia are quite peaceful, there is no possibility of war! 🗿🙄

Go read - 'Only The Paranoid Survives.' - by Andrew S Grove, you'll understand the Purpose of not taking anything for granted.
A statement from Henry Kissinger : 'It may be dangerous to be America's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal.' Just replace the word America with any Country's name.
For you to ask such a question means you don't know of AUKUS.
Lastly, as a global trading powerhouse, Singapore offers a vibrant trade ecosystem, developed infrastructure, and extensive global network.
Do you know how many companies from 1st World Countries have regional offices/HQs in Singapore? 😊

sorry Malaysian boy, Singapore sells Malaysian water back to Johore, we dont really need those water if you turn off the tap our troops roll in. Mahathir did it once, Singapore prepped its troops seeing that we are serious Mahathir surrendered and said its just a joke. Under contract those 2 are our sovereign if tap is turned off its akin to infringement due to contract. If malaysia do that the repercussion is trust. Btw without Singapore, Malaysia a few states will not have clean water. We sold it at a loss after treating it cleanly so your citizens can have clean water for cheap.

That’s why Singapore makes it’s own water now and have not renewed any of its contracts to buy water from Malaysia. 2062 Singapore will officially not buy water from Malaysia anymore. In fact, we already don’t need water from Malaysia and are just running down the contract.
