@@williamgass9242 Might not have been necessary to reply this, but: -The background seen in the video is the exact same as what you see in the Halo 2 main menus, only that it doesn't have the blue filter the menus have when you play the game. -The beeping and "bwooop" as the music begins are when your energy shield in Halo gets depleted and recharges, respectively. So if you haven't played Halo 2 before or had no idea what that is, those elements are used from that game and make for both a great reference to them (for those that can recognize it) and a great complement to the mix you'll be listening to. A halo themed dnb mix is the freshest thing one could make these days. It's great to see late 90's early 2000's instrumental music making a comeback, music like this is filled with so much wonder and hope, it's a feeling I can't exactly describe. Thank you.
I love how by todays standards, Halo CE looks like a fan project in a 2004 copy of Bryce 3D but still has better gameplay than most AAA titles today. We were truly blessed.
Graphics back in the day are way better than that over polished look today has. Those games had so much more personality. Oh yeah, LLDNB. long live drum and bass.
whats funny is I was just in an arcade playing a halo shooter, I think I got to round 5. it was pretty tough. I look up jungle and dnb and click on the first thing I see, didn't even know this had halo visuals. amazing mix by the way

Love these, truly. rediscovering lost tracks from when we were younger is always a true gem-find-joy. That said, seeing that the proper golden-age halo games (1-3) are visually aging so as to begin gracefully reaching retro aesthetic, I have a reccommendation for a title/opening if you're so inclined: "Truth and Reconciliation", perhaps opening with an active camouflage pickup, maybe with some nice interior covenant shots here and there, since a ton of covenant architecture and construction is aesthetically pleasing/nostalgic. Whatever course you take, thanks for sharing such great vibes.

Made me realize that A Walk in the Woods and Under Cover of Night seem... very jungle-inspired? CE in general, specifically, has that programmed drums + airy melodies + synth thing going for it, I miss the synth in every Halo since, as good as the more symphonic rock direction is :)
