Guys, just wanted to mention it's playing in my ear at 4:30am on the way home through a darkened city. I'm grateful for you, thanks for being here at this time and age.
Most of this type of music was only heard in old PS1 demo discs or VHS tapes showing previews of, back then, upcoming release games and some of the footage was usually taken from E3 showfloors and events. I honestly don't think any Crash Bandicoot game ever had any Drum n' Bass music in the actual soundtrack.
@@chips989 most of the ones in my city, which to be fair is kinda small, but is a uni town and has a reputation as a center for dnb. Usually what I hear is just pretty average remixes of popular songs.
@@TonyStonyfr I hope the scene gets better. Maybe someday I’ll do some private sets with friends once I get more comfortable with FL. Htown deserves better
Your doing amazing remixes and very intelligent to link them with some of the best soundtracks of the 90s to early 2000s era of gaming. I always remember games during this time being still limited with how immersive graphically they could build their worlds but they added so much depth by having killer soundtracks - ape escape, ratchet and clank, crash bandicoot, sonic adventure and of course the oddworld series which had a really unique sort of grungy electric and in strangers wrath a sort of industrial western meets tribal chanting soundtrack which was very unique. I think games soundtracks declined detrimentally when developers, understandably fell in love with improved graphics to build their worlds visually at the expense fof the musical depth. Anyhow rant over, hope to hear more like this!
you're definitely one of the best things the algorithm has thrown at me recently, i saw the thumbnail for "you hit marine?" a few weeks ago and its been a ride ever since, keep it up man
There's a lot of DnB mixes out there on youtube. I mostly just kinda flow through the ones I find in the recommends, not really caring to save most of them. Your channel is the first one where I legit get super excited when a new upload shows up. I cant put my finger on why, but you have a really good sense for songs that have that extra little sprinkle of magic on top. Plus the PS2 era vibes always hit me right in the heart. The duplicate track is ok because we stan for Earl Grey. Another great track by them is "My Soul's On Fire", would love to see it in a future mix. I love the inclusion of your own tracks as well. You've helped turn this awful day of mine around. Thank you.
I’ve been obsessed with this music since I was 12, listening in my bedroom in London. I’m 48 years old now, married and 2 kids. Still love this music like no other. You have very good taste my friend. No many do ❤🎉 ❤
this gives me sick flashbacks :D back in the days my ps2 stuck in loading screen & i was listening to dnb while 420 time it felt like i was in another universe :D didnt even realised the stucked ps2 just watched the screen & listened to some good tunes
Really like your untitled original track Zorrovian. Nice and mellow with some instrumentation that you don't normally hear in these types of tracks. Looking forward to hearing more !
Every new mix you release is like a celebration believe it or not! I instantly stop what I’m doing run to the gym and put your mix on the big screen. HIGHLY anticipating your first Zorrovian titled EP. Your songs are always the best on your mixes. CHEERS ZORROVIAN!!! 🥂
Haven't gotten through the whole playlist yet, but I put this on while playing Forza Horizon 5 and when the drums hit during Asthma Train at 26:36 I felt right at home during a race in that game. 10/10. Better DNB playlist than the actual radio station in FH5, lol.
Reminds me of a cassette tape i used to borrow from my older brother who was a DJ and bedroom producer, it was a blue cover compilation by Moving Shadow, first track on the mix was The Helicopter Tune, followed by many tracks similar to this, Omni Trio and such. There's something so unique about this flowing ethereal kind of D'n'B. I had my PS1 in my room back then, I'm pretty sure i played Ridge Racer on mute with that cassette tape playing in the background... this is some powerful nostalgia, thanks for the great mix and upload muh dude.
When I heard the chords go off for West Side Blues, the way I just felt a wave of pleasure & nostalgia..... there's a reason why I listen to your mixes
I had water in my phone speaker and after playing this on full blast, i can confirm the trippy altered sounds gradually cleared the water from my phone
This is a long ass loading screen
It really was like that, i was never able to beat this game bc the first level always got stuck on this screen smh
