I said 2 days ago I would be rebuilding my trans with a kit I bought off of mts diesel and your videos are the only reason I got it rebuilt I skipped the overdrive unit cause I will be taking my scat to work this week for a couple days at least gonna get the overdrive unit done and then new lines and I’ll prolly have the truck back up on the road by Wednesday appreciate it 🤟🏼 saved my ass more than you know and might even take up transmissions as a hobby now prolly the coolest thing I’ve done so far and I been in shops for about 3 years a little over
No sir. Too much effort and expense for something you don’t see imo. Most powder shops here local to us won’t touch a transmission case. You’d have to make a ton of block off plates and have a good powder shop that knows mechanics/automotive really well so they don’t cause more harm then good. I know others have done it but I have always been skeptical of getting the case that hot too. Powder bakes at 400-450* and I would be concerned of the sprag race moving in the case during the baking process.

Hey, you ever powercoat one of those cases? I'm considering that next time around.
