    I always try to find a favorite flower and there's so many but there's really something about a snapdragon, they're unmatched 🌺😍

    I'm in the Fraser Valley in B.C. Canada and my ranunculus are just starting to throw up some blooms. It is amazing to me that yours are all done already. I'm glad you guys are safe.

    10:22 I've had a lot of root rot due to so much rain this year as well. I grow everything from seed though, so it's mainly just time wasted, & not so much cost, like it is fornthode for you that buy plugs.

    My white procuts did the same this year in terms of maturity time. Fall plantings aren't as long. I still think I'll keep them in rotation cause I love them

    Love the simplicity of your farm. You pick a few things and do it really well.

    We're still rocking 50 degrees weather in western WA. I'm so ready for planting season! It's so fun to see all the growth you have

    Great attitude. Learn from things that don't work, but focus on the positive. The garden is looking great.🌻🌻🌻

    The gold lite pro cut branches so if you leave them you can get a second cut on them

    For basil- i also dont grow it as much because if only bring able to harvest at a very specific time, ot it wilts, but... wait until the flower plume is tall/ mature, & wait until it's semi woody at the base of the stem before haevesting. Kind of like zinnias- If the stem seems wiggly, it's going to flop. Also only harvest in the very early morning or in the afternoon, And then let them sit for about four hours. Even when I do Follow these rules.I still have about 20% that still will wilt, & not recover. 😒
    I've switched to using Marigol foliage for my green foliage. First couple years.I didn't care for it, but now I love it!

    I’m in a hot climate as well, the lemon basil was more difficult than the cinnamon basil which likes a little shade, but when cut with woody stems and hydrated well it holds and has great vase life. Really enjoy the fragrance of the basil. Fantastic sunflower successions, always enjoy your content, thank you.

    Glad y’all are safe! Great video! LOVE flowers! Started a flower garden this year, but not sure how they will do. I did start most of my plants indoors. Once I took them outside they seemed to bend over :( I hope they make it! I have half sunflowers 🌻 they are beautiful

    The farm is looking fantastic, glad He spared you from the worst of the tornado, hope your town is doing well! For your videos, do you treat it will the same approach you have to flower farming, so efficiency and excellence or because you are just in year 3, you are still learning as you go with TH-cam and plan on improving your efficiency with it later?

    We live in northeastern Washington state and it's been colder and rainier here than average. I'm hoping for hot weather soon! As always, I enjoyed your tour!

      Though I was born/ raised is Seattle - I lived in Palouse area from '89-94. Eastern Washington has some stunning areas. Probably even nicer now since relatives have told me Seattle/Tacoma is now what it once was.

    Alex, love all your flower beds, and all the arrangements you've made in your videos. I have a question, have you ever when planting sunflowers used a no till bed, or do you plant directly in the ground.

      We plant directly

    On your basil…have you ever thought about mountain mint? It’s a great perennial for me so far in year 1 of fall planting it. Not sure about OK heat if it would do good for you, but possibly one less annual filler for you?

    I'm in owasso and my flowers are DYING from all the rain! I don't tunnel them. How are you keeping your flowers still healthy in so much rain?

      I'm just South of you.
      I did a test run with sun flowers this year and started them indoors (which isn't recommended).
      The 2 seeds I did transplant I thought were done-for bc the heads had died back.
      I looked this morning and I've just noticed a 2nd set of buds/blooms emerging.

      @7LindaVang7
      We definitely do.
      I've been reading Lisa Ziegler's books (Cool Flowers).
      I started with Sunflowers last year and the ones that produced got me hooked.
      This year, I'm hoping to succession sow them. This year I'll plant them closer together bc I'm working with a small space. I'm also fond of Zinnias though.
      However, my lemon balm is already twice the size it was last yr and the borage I planted last year is off and running, it too self seeded.

    How close do you plant your sunflowers and how separate do you plant the seeds. How many seeds per hole?

    Glad everyone is safe. I have a question about your Ranunculus. You mentioned they were tarped in the tunnel. Do you do that to keep the weeds down after the foliage has died down? I assume you’re overwintering them. No harm to the corms with this early tarping due to heat? Thanks!

    • @CoramDeoFarm
      @CoramDeoFarm  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No we pulled up the corms and re buy each year and rotate planting . Its tarped for weeds
