    I have a ton of celosia and no sunflowers! Lesson learned. Good to know about Vincent's and I bought sunrich seeds for next season; I'm so glad i did because yours look great. I will try the 6" apart for Sunrich.

    Great team work. Have you thought about simply cutting a bunch of what is left in the garden after your final week of selling flowers and putting them in buckets and letting people pay $20 to grab what they want to make their own bouquet (at home)? Might be a good way to get one final push with sales with less effort. you can then put them out and leave the sales shed open until they are gone.

    I live in NE Washington state and the deer pressure has been bad for me this year. They ate all of my lisianthus, and a lot of other things. So hard. Your sunflower bunches still look great!

    Thanks for sharing the timing of your spring vs fall sun flowers. I’m experimenting for the first time this year (zone 8) with some late sunflower successions. Bunnies ate one mid-summer succession, so I’m doing a last ditch late one with procuts. Would you mind sharing what temp you had your cooler at and if you felt these varieties did indeed hold better? Thanks for sharing your experiences and congrats on your incoming little babe!

      It’s between 36-40 fluctuation. Idk if i could say they held better but they did hold well for me

    They will continue to bloom as long as they were lifted pretty well at first. If they are tight? I would leave them out on the counter to bloom. Your WELCOME! Lol

    I noticed that you bunch them in the field, then re-bunch them to make your final bouquets. Do they store better that way, or what are the reasons for that?

    • @CoramDeoFarm
      @CoramDeoFarm  6 วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      I bunch them to keep them very upright in the cooler bc they bend very easily in storage and won’t restraighten. If I had more uniformity in the blooms, I would have bunched by 10s in the field and then just wrapped them for bouquets to save a step. But with the inconsistent sizes I wanted to remake the bunches for the bouquets themselves. Goal for next year
