I was looking at Winter Snow Backscenes in Chester Model Shop. Appropriate for the Cat Valley Steam Railway, as with Model Railway Snow it is a true Winter Wonderland. The only way I could put up a Winter Snow Backscene, is to stick it to the mirror-doors of my wardrobe. Just to finish this off.... "Silly soft stuff," puffed Thomas. "I didn't need that stupid old thing yesterday, and I shan't today. Snow can't stop me." He rushed into a tunnel, thinking how clever he was. But there was trouble ahead. "Cinders and ashes," said Thomas. "I'm stuck!" And he was. From the story Thomas, Terence & the Snow.
What height is best for OO? I’ve found that the larger Gaugemaster backscene designated to OO are just to overpowering while the N size are a bit small. Is the ID Backscenes more in scale?
Hi Richard, whilst the larger backscenes (such as Gaugemaster or ID backscenes) are recommended for OO gauge, it can be just as much about personal preference too. I've used the 15" ID backscenes on a OO layout and they do look suitably scaled, especially the Hills and Dales pack - Dave
6mm mdf and use wallpaper paste. Simple
So is wallpaper glue really ok?
@@70sstreetracer wallpaper paste yes
Are tt120 backscenes available yet? Would n gauge work ?
Don't blame plasterers if your room isn't square , it will be more liikely to have been out before they started . They can only correct so much.
Does anyone know where I might find a WW11 airfield backscene ? I have been looking for ages. Thanks
