apprently performance mode causes more stutters because it has lower 1% lows compared to directx12. does switching to directx12 lower average fps? or wil it be same.
Switching to dx12 will lower average and make it more stable, so it depends on your config and setup, if you struggle with fps all the time switch to performance mode, if it’s only stuttering problems switch to dx12
in a recent driver update they fixed stutters massively, i have the same gpu but i have the ryzen 5 5600 not the x version and 80 percent of the stutters ingame and in creative (zone wars, pgs etc) are gone
It is true that amd gpus aren’t the most optimized for performance mode, however, I would say it it still better than dx 11 or 12. I didn’t have any problems really, I already expected the performance to not be so great.
@@Mxgicfv amd gpus had a lot of problems in the early days of fortnite they still have some small problems but the new gpus are almost the same as nvidia (its still better to get a good amd gpu bc of the price to performance ratio even if u want to use it only for fortnite)

Yes but not hugely, it's about 11 to 14% bottleneck at 1080p for gaming. So that's like not even a 20 frame difference, you'll mainly see the huge difference once you up your graphical settings.
