I just received this helmet from Amazon, where I grabbed it for $110, a complete steal. I am very happy with it. It is an imposing looking helmet, and very well done.
Looks cool this new update, I only regret that they didn't add a voice changer, I had a cheap Kylo Ren mask that change my voice, I don't understand why Hasbro couldn't add this tea in this new products of the Black Series line.

I was surprised when I was told it was on the way from Amazon. They originally said January. I got the same as you double boxed from hasbro and man did they make sure no scratches this time around. Paper and plastic! Awesome helmet.
I got mine from GameStop also surprised it was released early! I didn’t get a double box but had no damage. However mine did not come with tissue paper over the plastic bags. I only got the plastic bags. Was well wrapped but interesting that it didn’t have the extra wrapping. I checked the product box and all the tape is original so no open box. 🤷🏽
This thing looks wicked nice 👍🏼 the last Darth Vader electronic helmet I had was the one in stores back during Revenge of the Sith that had his chest gizmo attached. These things sure have come a long way since 2005
I like this helmet better than the first from the Black Series line.. Above all, I think the 2-tone scheme is great...it makes the helmet look more realistic...

The face and neck look really well done. There's something off about the dome, however. Because it's plastic, it's not going to be as thick as fiberglass, but I think that and the widow's peak are what's off. Otherwise, looks really well done for the price!

I've noticed that too. The helmet is smaller compared to the mask itself. Would prefer movie accurate sound effects for the clasp of the mask and helmet.
Just now stumbled upon this as Hasbro is re-issuing this again, I believe? Excellent video! It's funny how the promo pics make the helmet look.... dorky. But I think that's just a fisheye effect from being close up. (I noticed a similar thing when you held it close to the camera). But when you put the helmet on and were back a bit from the camera? I got mine today, but had trouble connecting the outer helmet. Came here for a bit of instruction, thinking I was doing something wrong. Looks like the magnets on the outer helmet are missing. Really disappointed and, as carefully as it was boxed, can’t see how it happened. But thank you for clearing it up for me. Guess it’s going back.

I've got one of these. Wearing it explains a lot about David Prowse's performance. Namely, it is extremely restrictive to movement and very hard to see through. You have to move your entire torso to look left and right and Mr. Prowse wasn't looking down when moving to look powerful; he was doing it because you can't see shit directly in front of you with it on.
Does it really matter? it’s not meant to be a screen accurate helmet. It’s just a toy, but it looks great for what it is. You can still tell that it’s Darth Vader’s helmet. People are way too obsessed about screen accuracy.
@@connorsimpson503 we actually want pieces that look like the originals because they were the ones we obsessed over as kids when we watched the movies. We don't want vaguely kind of almost look like if you squint from 20 feet away in the dark.

this looks cool, with these things being electronic they really need to make them have a remote control or Bluetooth facility, since a lot of cosplayer will buy them and be so much easier operating electronic functions from a remote or if they were voice activated! - What head size does it fit? Does it say on the manual what is the recommended head size. I do like it, but not having an active voice changer, then if I bought it I would only use it as a display piece, and then you need a cabinet to store it in to stop it getting dusty!

What type of hanging system do you use for wall mounting your Black Series helmets?
I just got mine today from Amazon in the UK I like this it's better than the rubies supreme one I'm not planning on wearing this it's going on display on a Vader costume which will be the rubies supreme costume .
The motorcycle helmet stands work on it. The way the helmet sits the back part of the helmet just clears. And with the longer neck it hides the stand very well. Makes it look like it’s floating

Still at AU$244 I still think it will be worth it. Comes in 2 weeks- can’t wait. I cant justify EFX and Denuo Novo prices tags. So I'm super stoked by the back series helmets I have bought. Just kinda annoying when i found about the Hasbro helmets, the Lucks Skywalker helmet is not really possible to find in the EU unfortunately.
I just ordered mine today, can’t wait. The only other Hasbro helmet I have is the Cpt. Cardinal one, but Vader is my favorite character so I had to get it. I’m not waiting till next year😅
It is a really remarkable helmet sadly I vaguely remember back when I was a child back when episode 3 came out that there was a vader helmet you could put on that had a voice changer so it would kind of make you sound like him I don't really know if that is out there anymore but that was definitely cool
There is no excuse this helmet isn't more accurate. The x wing, boba Fett and Mando used originals as the base to work from. It doesn't cost any more to design an accurate helmet in the initial design phase.

That was one thing that really pardon my french, pissed me off about the other Vader helmets, they were not actual screen accurate lenses, you could literally see the cosplayers face inside the helmet and the helmet would make the lenses fog up within a matter of minutes if you didn't have a USB fan system inside!

From the Obi-Wan-Kenobi Series I'm considering getting this & want to know if it's accurate & as advertised as some are saying to get the galaxy edge legacy Lightsaber instead cuc the new one from hasbro is missing details like the Es8 or something like that including a few other things? What's your suggestion..
To be honest I haven’t looked at it closely. I currently have the original Disney park Vader from Rogue One that I’m selling. The Legacy parks is a nice one. Probably faster to get also. Sorry I can’t be of more help with this yet.
I wanted this thing so bad and once I finally got it it just didn’t fit right at all. The neck piece and face piece just smooshed my face so I could barely talk and I couldn’t get the magnets to connect while I had the neck piece on no matter how hard I tried. When I had the whole thing on it hurt my jaw bone so I just gave up and took it back. I still wish I had it but I know it would’ve just been untouched
For Kenobi, they tried to match the paint colors on the original ‘77 A New Hope Vader helmet(s). Lucas needed shading variations to afford helmet shape details to the lesser cameras of the 1970s. Finally, a more color accurate nose bridge and cheek “bones”. The almost silver nose bridge (under the widow’s peak) is a welcome return to 1977 helmet I committed to memory at age 10.
Did you do anything to make the two face parts flush? They have a noticable space between them on mine, which just looks weird where the "tubes" on the chin connect :(
I just purchased mine from Amazon and will get it in a few days versus the Hasboro one- months from now. I wish you had compared it to the one that came out a few years ago though.
The only thing I dislike about the 2022 Helmets are: The 2022 Speaker is much more visible and the 2018 Helmet Speaker is SIGNIFICANTLY louder in my case
You just have to keep pushing the button as it doesn't loop (it breathes four times). People have added a speaker and sound effects loop, but that takes some money and a bit of doing.
I have the previous one the one i got it during the pandemic and wore it into stores lol. i want that one. yeah i'm a starwars fan lol i was concieved during the original run of episode 4 (dad ran the projection booth).
Where this is really very nice, the proportions screem "toy" ( unlike the other Hasbro helmet offerings) because it is undersized. Like others have mentioned here but could not quite put their finger on it but it is plain and simple: The helmet crown/dome is way too shallow! Compare it to a prop repica and it is quite evident.

The entire thing is off. Nothing about this helmet shares any resemblance to the screen used other then being Darth Vader.

They improved the neck of the mask.And gave it the original red lens for the eyes.I have the first edition and can't wait to get the second
I wish they would make a battle damaged helmet (like in the Obi Wan show) where there is a gash cut in and you can see a sliver of your face 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

Rubies deluxe helmet beats this in price and accuracy. You can add the electronics from third party sellers. And it doesnt look like a knock off

The cheap mask has the voice feature. It’s cheap but they have it. This helmet doesn’t so that’s a negative but I did buy it

The helmets you're referring don't come in multiple pieces. But this helmet is also reflective of the current iteration.

My brother gave me this and a mandalorian helmet for a birthday present. We’ll worth the effort.
I received mine yesterday and so gutted the speaker on mine is quiet. Half the volume of original. Have to send it back 😢

I have the original and the new one both have good quality been cool if the put the same tec in again though but detail is awesome

Hey bro, can you tell me , is it possible to turn on breathing continously ? If I use perhaps a tape to hold button ?
You just have to keep pushing the button as it doesn't loop (it breathes four times). People have added a speaker and sound effects loop, but that takes some money and a bit of doing.

I have the previous one the one i got it during the pandemic and wore it into stores lol. i want that one. yeah i'm a starwars fan lol i was concieved during the original run of episode 4 (dad ran the projection booth).
He has the heavy duty garden gloves on to do this opening... Lol
If someone wore glasses would they have to take them off for the helmet to fit?
Where this is really very nice, the proportions screem "toy" ( unlike the other Hasbro helmet offerings) because it is undersized. Like others have mentioned here but could not quite put their finger on it but it is plain and simple: The helmet crown/dome is way too shallow! Compare it to a prop repica and it is quite evident.
