OG soundtrack is the absolute best. I love everything about the original RE but I think it's the soundtrack that does it for me. Such a brilliant game, my personal GOAT.
It instantly takes me back to those foggy Saturday nights in 1998 when we didn't sleep and just played through the night. Nothing compares. Sadly it all ended forever after RE3. The gloomy and cold soundtrack really make this melody even more magical.
Reminds me of hot summer nights in 1997, headed into sophomore year, sitting on the floor, scared in my dark house playing this with my friend. Safe for a second…lol RE1 is forever a classic. Changed gaming for me.
Most of us heard this song while we were younger, playing RE1 for the very first time. How little did we understand back then, that we would be listening to this very same song and thinking back to that first moment, decades later, when we are old and wrinkly.
I’m actually playing the Ps1 director’s cut game late at night right now. I couldn’t help but notice how peaceful this theme is.It literally puts my soul to peace.I love it.
the background scenarios (like the helipead you see through the window when you are inside the secret room located in the library) give more inmersion to the game in my opinion. Thinking about the fact that we are totally isolated even if a city is not so far there increases the tension too.
Listening this music only reminds when I was little girl and I was watching my dad or my cousins playing this game in PlayStation, I never got play this game because I had scared with first zombie hahahaha
ah the save room, a brief respite from the nightmares that lurk outside. giving you a chance to get your bearings back and calm down before you must once again dive back into the nightmare
i hate how all the games these days need a freakin orchestra for all the themes, i would LOVE these simplified atmospheric more than anything needlessly complicated
Thank you childhood for the happy memories that live inside the heart and keep us strong believing that good happy days are possible not with wealth nor power but with peace and forgiveness.
I remember I used to watch my brothers play this game when I was like 7-8 years old and I'd be shitting myself, and then they're get to a typewriter and this music would come on and I'd literally feel that safe haven feeling but with the understanding we've gotta go back out into that hell in a few seconds. And now I'm listening to that now after a decade and a half and I still got that spooked feeling inside me, this is just a moment to take a breather, holy crap man I have to play this game for myself.
The year is 2020, you lay alone in isolation as the world is suffering the outbreak of a pneumonic desease. Rain kisses the fogged window in a pace that's swift and somewhat overwhelming, yet relaxing. After finishing the dissapointing and underwhelming Resi 3 remake you decide to pull out your bag of member berries and wallow in your own mind and nostalgia of what media use to mean and feel like to you, particularly gaming. So you put this on, the original re1 save room music. You sit in the grey, close your eyes and...leave.
Not really messed up. Cover half his face with part of your finger and look at the exposed part of the face. It's quite accurate in anatomy expressions drawing

remember having the TV with the long back side and the yellow , white and red cables you plugged in the TV?
pepperidge farm remembers.
lol these were the days
You forgot about that annoying high pitched sound everytime you turn on the TV.
or maybe that's just my TV =p
Right lol
Best game ever made and ever to be made... Hands down !
+23lnp Can't agree there but I understand your nostalgia.
This is very similar to Dark Souls character creation music. Love it!
I use this track when I want to sleep, thanks to it, I can sleep deeply, that's why I love it
Got to be the best video game sound track ever I use this for my alarm getting up for work 😩 makes me getting up for work a little easier ☺️
Raaaaaa, memories. Talk about nostalgia. Jheeze! 20 years later.
The feeling knowing we won't get good soundtracks like this again is purgatory to me
It's harder to find but people are always making great music.
now we always get generic orchestral music in every single game
OG soundtrack is the absolute best. I love everything about the original RE but I think it's the soundtrack that does it for me. Such a brilliant game, my personal GOAT.
Back when times were simpler
It instantly takes me back to those foggy Saturday nights in 1998 when we didn't sleep and just played through the night.
Nothing compares. Sadly it all ended forever after RE3.
The gloomy and cold soundtrack really make this melody even more magical.
Reminds me of hot summer nights in 1997, headed into sophomore year, sitting on the floor, scared in my dark house playing this with my friend. Safe for a second…lol RE1 is forever a classic. Changed gaming for me.
I listened to this music while repairing a ps3 controller for playing Resident evil 1. I can now enjoy it. The track helped me to keep calm.
So much nostalgia with this game and theme
Cant wait to play the remake...
ON THE GO!
Best save room music of the franchise.
Pure bliss and happiness 😊
Most of us heard this song while we were younger, playing RE1 for the very first time. How little did we understand back then, that we would be listening to this very same song and thinking back to that first moment, decades later, when we are old and wrinkly.
I’m actually playing the Ps1 director’s cut game late at night right now. I couldn’t help but notice how peaceful this theme is.It literally puts my soul to peace.I love it.
Estoy de acuerdo, es una paz total
the background scenarios (like the helipead you see through the window when you are inside the secret room located in the library) give more inmersion to the game in my opinion. Thinking about the fact that we are totally isolated even if a city is not so far there increases the tension too.
Gora Euskadi
20th anniversary of the greatest "zombie title" ever made,...i´m not sure when it was released but, sure the best so far!.
I like that the save rooms in the series are more like "safe rooms".
…And the type writer concept . . . (shiver) . . . chills down my spine.
I could listen to this for hours on end, sooo beautiful
God 90's soundtracks music are the best
Dark Souls 1 Character Creation OST and RE1 Save Room Theme are goals
Listening this music only reminds when I was little girl and I was watching my dad or my cousins playing this game in PlayStation, I never got play this game because I had scared with first zombie hahahaha
Angel Silva I never played this game
aww, I hope youre a gamer now tho. :-)
ah the save room, a brief respite from the nightmares that lurk outside. giving you a chance to get your bearings back and calm down before you must once again dive back into the nightmare
i hate how all the games these days need a freakin orchestra for all the themes, i would LOVE these simplified atmospheric more than anything needlessly complicated
Original is always the best.
The nostalgia feels! Perfect weather for classic resident evil
So nostalgic and calming....beautiful
this is just... beautiful
Please 1998 come back! : (
johnwillyn 1998 was for RE2, 1996 was for RE1
:(
No
NO!..DONT GO!!...- chris redfeild
@@UnicornPizza yea but by the time i first plat that game it was allready 1998 :p
Thank you childhood for the happy memories that live inside the heart and keep us strong believing that good happy days are possible not with wealth nor power but with peace and forgiveness.
Man, I could listen to RE save themes all day long...
You sit in the grey, close your eyes and...leave.
the most beutiful music ever made to a game
I love how messed up "chris's" face is on the cover.
lol Chris looks like a mexican on the cover :D
+BlessedWarrior not. funny dweeb
seanlamar29 Not my problem lol
Not really messed up. Cover half his face with part of your finger and look at the exposed part of the face. It's quite accurate in anatomy expressions drawing
That's not Chris on the cover
It sounds beautiful and hypnotic but eerie at the same time. I think most of the eerie part is the background. :P
so good to study or write to
A brief moment of peace from all the madness.
