This "Summer in Japan" series has been such an enrichment to my summer. It is such a joy to see and experience Japan through your vlogs, so thank you so much Sam and Victor 🎐🍃✨
Thank you for making these relaxing videos! I love having them on the TV while I write. Really makes me want to get better at filming, your editing, music choices and colour grading are all incredible!
Stumbled across your tokyo vlog in preparation for an upcoming Japan trip in 2025 and so glad I did. Your content is so lush and thoughtfully considerate. Can't wait to see what's next. Love from Scotland 🏴
As someone who has suffered from anxiety....😮 I honesty find your posts so comforting and reassuring....after watching i feel happy calmed and more balanced... thanks Victor and Sam 😊 You two have a natural synergy that flows....👍👌💕
so glad your video came in time! heading to nagoya in 2 months but had absolutely no idea how to plan my itinerary. thanks for showing so many cool places!
So glad to see such beautiful content on Nagoya! I lived for 5 years before moving to Osaka but I miss Nagoya so much. I lived in Osu so seeing your Osu videos brought back great memories. You hit a lot of the major spots (I'm quite impressed you knew about the Buddha glasses it's quite niche to Aichi!) but next time you must hit: Kakuozan, Higashibetsuin and their morning farmers, craft, and food truck market, and strolling through Tsuruma park. If you're a visitor it's definitely worth it to see Atsuta Jingu and the neighbouring Shirotori garden!! Then for day trips Okazaki is a fun one, Toyokawa Inari (sister shrine to Fushimi Inari in Kyoto, apparently!), and Inuyama are musts! Also out of all of the cute towns Gujo is my favourite so you absolutely must go back~! They have the most famous Bon Odori matsuri in Aichi and the rivers are amazing to walk through in the summer!!
Can’t believe the video is almost an hour long when I finished it. Watched it on my iPad with zero distraction. That’s the meaning of good storytelling! ❤❤❤
My husband and I were on the fence about visiting Nagoya but you’ve definitely helped push us more towards visiting it now. Too cute. Can’t wait for the heat.
If you are visiting Nagoya, I recommend visiting Inuyama Castle over Nagoya Castle. Nagoya Castle was destroyed in World War II, so the current structure is a reconstructed concrete model. On the other hand, Inuyama Castle retains its original architecture, and with a river flowing nearby, the scenery is exceptionally beautiful.
It's so wonderful seeing people enjoy Nagoya so much! I lived there for a year and it always bums me out when people skip over it. I'm glad you all had a great time!!
I have been following you guys for a while now, and you guys really inspires me ❤ Please make a video about living nomadic in Japan after this. Would love to know how does it feel, the obstacles, tips and tricks, the expenses, how to survive, etc.
I don't usually comment but I am pretty blown away by the quality of this video. Fantastic job with the shots, the editing, and even the music! Instant subscribe from me.
Your videography skills are impressive. This cozy video really drew me into your story about Nagoya. Your trip to Nagoya looks like it was both fun and relaxing. I especially liked the elephant café you visited.
Another interesting video😃Winter at Shirakawago would be captivating. You may consider this rural village Ainokura on the way to Shirakwago next time. Have a good week ahead.
I discovered your channel last year when I was searching for cafés in the Tokyo area and now I just can't get enough of your content. Your videos are just so aesthetic and calming. Thank you for filming all of your travels and sharing them with us! I already put so many new cafés and restaurants on my "want to go"-list because of you hahaha P.S. Did you know that you can go on the rooftop of Oasis 21? It's even open early in the evening when it's already dark because it lights up. You can walk around the water basin or sit down on a bench and enjoy the view. P.P.S My favorite café in Nagoya is the "Double Tall Cafe BEANS" right next to the Nana-chan doll. They serve the best ogura toast in my opinion!
This so interesting to see what other people do while travelling to same cities😊 I’ve been to Nagoya over dozen times, i mainly go there to meet friends or concerts/events so i skip on touristy sightseeing😅 This vlog motivates me to go smaller cities nearby, although as you pointed out lots of sight seeing spots close pretty early. Also for some reason Nagoya castle has been closed for renovations a lot throughout the years.. P.S. Hitsumabushi is definitely a must!❤
YEEESSSS!!! I knew in my gut that your 'weekend away' would be to Takayama! Love it, I've been twice. Those two Showa museums! Such fun. Takayama and Shirakawago are the most wonderful places to tack onto a Tokyo or Kyoto based itinerary if you want to experience the beauty of the Japanese countryside. I absolutely loved this one guys, surprise surprise! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
@@SamandVictor The second Showa museum wasn't open the first time I went with a friend; I wanted to go with my husband as I know he'd love Takayama and Shirakawago too so we booked a trip together. Lo and behold, another cool museum had opened. Nothing stays the same in Japan, and yet the place does stay the same in all the important ways. That's what I love. Gujo Hachiman is on my longer bucket list but it's a pain in the butt to get to from both Kyoto and Tokyo despite not being far from either (when you look at direction 'as the crow flies' on a map). Deceptive due to the mountainous region you travel through. Love your channel and REALLY hope you'll visit Ishigaki next. LOOOOOVE to see what you do, see and eat there.
Hi, love your videos! I get a lot of inspo from you as I like to travel to Japan too. May I please ask where you got the Nagoya train announcement key chain from? Thanks! :)
Since you've been around Japan multiple times, what's your favorite place aside from Tokyo or Osaka? I'm planning my 4th trip to Japan solo and would love to travel like you both! ☺️
Hi @SamandVictor How’s your driving experience in Japan? Do you find it challenging or stressful as most signs aren’t in English? Do you mainly rely on Google Maps? And how is parking-do you find it easy and convenient?
Really enjoy watching your content. Just out of curiosity which Fuji camera (and film simulation) and lenses do you use? Didn’t see the gears listed on your Amazon link.

Nagoya is really good, loads of interesting museums & shops and a great base for travel.

Yes, it's a great day trip. I loved Inuyama.
Japan has the prettiest manhole covers I have ever seen!!

I just started watching these and they are amazing! So relaxing to watch. Victor I need to know where you buy your clothes. 😄

How I relax after work: Sam and Victor on Mondays and Tosh Show on Tuesdays. Unusual combo?
I can’t wait to visit Nagoya ❤️
What another wonderful video xx
You should definitely stay in Takayama for a few days or go up further to Toyama and Kanazawa. Rural Japan is the best esp during Autumn 🍂🍁
The way I clicked so fast when the vlog came out! Finally Takayama + Shirakawa-go, one of my most favourite places in Japan!!
I wish we could stay overnight but didn’t plan it well 🥹 need to go back for sure!
Had a chat with a founder staff from Blue Bottle yesterday and we chuckled at how retro cafes are springing up in Nagoya.
Since you've been around Japan multiple times, what's your favorite place aside from Tokyo or Osaka? I'm planning my 4th trip to Japan solo and would love to travel like you both! ☺️
I am happy that Snoopy and Wish Dragon are inside the same souvenir shop 🌲
Gifu is absolutely mind-boggling in terms of beauty.
yessss!!
Takayama is so beautiful during winter, I spent 4 days there but it wasnt enough! Hoping to return soon.
The food looks so good!😋
Wonder How ‘s different from Tokyo and Nagoya
