The 'fine dining' part of this video made me laugh out loud (from 28:15). Such creative inspiration and deadpan comedy. And we ALL recognise a "Japanese holiday dinner fail", y'know, where we end up buying food at a convenience store due to isolation of accommodation, restaurants being closed/booked or some other reason. You presented your alternative 'fancy kaiseki' meal with such flair-- the graphics, the music, the introduction to each component of your meal. Editing gold star. You're so funny. 💯💯👍
As always, love your vlog. I was in Fukuoka around the same you were and visited the Christmas markets too which I love. I couldn't get the mugs as they were sold out but I got two limited German glass candle holders made specially for the markets. I can't believe I listened to my son and skipped the Daizafu (he prefered the Gundam Base!)which I now so regret after seeing your vlog cause it reminded me much of Kyoto, my favorite city in Japan (Miffy shop, love it). Agreed that shops in Canal City weren't that interesting (except for Alpen Fukuoka where the selection for sports items are huge) and I wished I had spent ore time in AMU Plaza and the Tenjin Underground Mall but when you are traveling with a 19 year old teen, he has different itin in mind. We didn't even eat Hakata Ramen!! Well, perfect excuse to return. I like Fukuoka too. Although it seemed there isn't much to do, I like that it's less crowded compared to say Osaka and Tokyo and yet has all the brands that I like for shopping. Now I'm going to look at my photos and see what are the places in your vlog I missed for future visit. Thank you and keep those vidoes coming for 2024!! I recommend your channel to all my Japan loving friends.
Hi, I'm a new subscriber. I just saw this video, I immediately clicked and I wasn't disappointed at all. I love the overall cozy feel of the vlog, especially with the bgm. Also, me and family also spent this holiday in Japan, but we spent it in the Kansai region, mostly Osaka and Kyoto. Seeing as there were already snow in Fukuoka at that time made me a little bit jealous 😅 as I've never seen snow in my life, and it had yet to snow in Osaka and Kyoto that time. Also, I lowkey screamed internally at 10:29 because I'm a fan of that Kpop group, Fantasy Boys! Wish I was there too! Anyway, lastly, I hope everyone's doing fine in Japan, with the earthquake and the airplane incident that happened at new year's day. Praying for everyone's safety and hope they recover from these incidents quickly.
