I have the same a-arms and they're great. Ohio, like NY has too many chemicals attacking our rigs so I wanted a strong sealed ball joint and the JBA's are great. Also made my FJ drive straight and solid again with the small leveling lift mine had when I bought it.
Good video! I have a similar set up. 35 12.50 kenda klevers, jba's, but using 5100's with pro comp 3" springs and 1.5 spacers ( front and rear) and no front ,or rear swaybars. 80+mph on the interstate is no problem, handles good, no drifting/darting. Off road it does great. Very very rarely get a rub.
Nice video. An I never said she wasn't rubbing like crazy lol I had to do alot of cutting to fit 10 inch wide wheels running 315 75 16 lol. Will definitely be lifting before hunting season
TerraXpeditions the look I want to accomplish eventually I know I'll have to have a 12 inch wide wheel, but until then I was thinking off adding a wheel spacer. Then again I don't know if the bearings could take it, she's already super wide lol
Hey Jimmy: can you please specify the exact OME 3” lift Kit set up? I know it depends of how much weight you add to the body of the FJ but I would like to know if you got light, medium or heavy load set ups for the front and back? Thank you in advance!
Very informative man, thanks a lot. Quick questions, why did you add spacers? If I dont add spacers will I still have to cut the body if im trying to fit those 35” tires?
Spacers are a mysterious thing they could help and cause issues at the same time. The main reason I was to give a wider stance since I added a body lift. you will have to cut and adjust either way with or without them.
Nope nothing major. Some people get picky about the little moulding at the bottom having an open spot. I personally don't mind it and I'm glad I can hose the crud out that you wouldn't be able to if it was covered up.
@@JimSperanza Thank you. I just removed all inner fender and gonna start hammering away . I also gonna install body lift, saw your video on it. Again, thanks for posting your videos, it made things so much easier..
Thanks for the vid! Quick q: How much +caster are you running with those adjustable UCAs?? Trying to see if I can avoid getting a BMC. Really appreciate it man.
Hi one question my friend. are you running spacers because the tires was rubbing the upper controls? I want to buy those ucas but im going to run the same tire size.
Hi my friend I have a question. i getting the same set up here. what's the exact rim size of those rims? I want to get my rims the proper size to run those 35s but I don't want to use any spacers. thanks
I've had zero issues. Ive even towed a 1500 pound trailer through the mountains on a bunch of trips. Yes she could certainly use some gearing but it's not undriveable by any means.
@@mustangenthusiast so far it has held up. A lot of issues have been noted on the first gen FJs. Not sure if they upgraded anything but if the hinges wear down eventually they can always be replaced. 👍
@@JimSperanza I miss how mine ran with the 305s on it. People were suprised that my mud biggy would out run um lol. When I went to the 35 that changed, it'll still go anywhere, just not as quick. Done any new mods lately?

Hey Jimmy have a 3 inch lift kit. Oem upper control arms. Do you think 35 inch tires is a good idea ? I really dont wanna spend more money in upper control arms
What do you think about 35x12.5 on a 2” (leveling) kit with body-mount chop, stock UCAs and 3-inch spacers? Currently, I have 33s with that setup and very seldom rubbing, but I’m kinda scared of what a 12.5 tire might do...
12.5 will definitely rub. Even with a decent 3 inch suspension lift you really need to get the tires away from the body mount. Even with a body mount chop it needs more clearance. Wheel spacers and a small body lift are key.

I want mine just like this as far a lift and wheel setup.
Yea definitely! It really gives it a nice stance.

Where did you get the front bumper wing caps?
@@Jason-sj1bo I custom made them from black aluminum diamond plate

@@award9273 Did you have ti re-gear? I am in a 6MT . My 33s feel fine but I figure 35s will not make my 3.9 geared FJ happy?
Do you have any issues with NY PD giving crap over no fenders/mud flaps? In Cali, that would get some attention (at least the bigger cities).
I have not had any issues at all. I always wonder what they think when I go by them. For now I'll keep my fingers crossed.

@@titone14 I keep up on my messages. I really appreciate the people that I can inform.
When driving at higher speeds like 60+ does the transmission run normally or is it always searching for gears. Thanks
There's definitely a difference but nothing unbearable.

I did not. I plan to eventually but it's been fine since.

2 inch wheel spacer. Works perfect.
