- In today's video we are taking my 23 year old barrel horse Kite to make a barrel run at a local horse show! He did so good! I am taking you along with me from the barn and back. Does it matter as much if it's just a trailer license plate? She might not have cared, but if it was an accident she should be able to blur it in yt studio w/ out taking the video dow :)

My 25 year old mare still comes for a walk trot show or two for my daughter! Horses I think love working and while you should retire a horse when they are ready, when they aren’t ready it’s so good to keep them active and include them when possible! I love that you show how you keep him active he is such a beautiful boy!

What’s the thing that goes around Kites neck?
are you talking abt the giraffe pattern thing?
if so, it’s called a breastplate.
it’s used so the saddle doesn’t slide back. since you ride really fast as a western rider, the saddle can slip back as the horse pushes their legs forward it can slide back.
In the stall it's a cribbing collar :)
