I so appreciate watching the unfolding of Emily's tutorals with voice-overs, especially of animals. Such lovely detail and nuance of color and skill. Emily - how did you learn to be so incredibly proficient? Yes - practice practice practice....but how did you incorporate all of your skills into such fine outcomes?
This is soooo helpful!! Thank you for this. Can’t wait to attempt to paint a picture of my Boston ❤️❤️ the only thing I need to figure out is how to paint the brownstripes in for him because he isn’t a solid black. He was a darker Brindle.
thank you Emily very helpful tutorial! I would love to paint my boyfriend's 19-year-old beagle that passed away this year. He loved him so much. I really want to learn to paint the best I can for this one. I'd like to make a small painting but I rarely work with watercolors. Thank you again!
Thank you Emily, I will be watching this again and checking out your fur tutorial. So lovely, I don't know how you achieve such detail with watercolour
Im painting 2 dog portraits, one is a adult boston. Both were my brother & SILs' dogs...adopted them as puppies at the same time and lost them both last year, within a few months of each other. Can you say rip your heart out!? Ive started the boston...not as easy as i thought!! Ive already finished the bichon. Not commisions...just wanted to surprise them with it!!
I just pick images that I like, usually because they are a) cute, b) beautiful, c) well-lit and composed photos, or often I paint something that was requested by a viewer. :)
Excellent, as usual!
Thank you, Dolores!

My husband and I are just days away from getting our first puppy, and it is a Boston! I will definitely be trying this painting😍
