    Friends! I just wanted to note that I did put a protective top coat on the underside of the wood to protect it from moisture and added silicone to the inside sewer hole where the steam comes out to protect it. Those parts were fine but the steam did end up effecting the street level more than I anticipated so...i won't be using that feature moving forward to avoid ruining the scene but it sure did look cool! 😂🤷‍♀️

      Amazing. And no, I wouldn't try that, I don't have the patience anymore 😄🤯 I did dioramas for my kids when they were little, but with less detail; no lites back then. Great job! 👍🏽

      @ghazaln 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Awesome 🤩👏🏼
      Just thinking if dishwasher safe mod podge would work on the scene itself to make it water proof!? 🤔
      In combination with spray on topcoat even? For the parts that can’t be mod podged!? 🤷🏻‍♀️
      Maybe a little fan on the top part as well to take the moisture out 😅
      Just sharing some thoughts but You’re the expert 🙈
      Loved this! Thank you 🤩

    Danie my father would fall in love with you. His job was as a "Model Maker" for the Hungarian Goverment. He made mini factories, bridges, ships and more and they were moving working order. He use to take them around the world for Expo's to show how would it look like eg. the factory if we build it for countries they need them. I use to help him with little things. Some of his work is in a Museum like a paddlewheeler ship use to go on the river Danube. If you put it on water it is in perfect working condition. You brought me back some beautiful memories. Miss my Dad so much. Thank you. I absolutely adore your Gotham City. You really could work on movies doing they movie sets and with that kind of a job you could travel the world. Well done. 👍+🖖= I know it is not Startrek but anyway✅🤩

    This actually made me think of your time away where you focused on your art. You have amazing talent as an artist, which shows through in all of your designs and builds. 👏🏻 If I did a scene, it would most likely be Harry Potter, but I also would love just a meadow of flowers with trees on the background, maybe a stream going through it.

    As someone who hasn’t kept up with new movies, I have always loved the Tim Burton Batman’s. This means more than you know though, bc my first boyfriend loved Batman. Almost 8 years ago he passed on, so Batman has become something completely different for me, and I just wanna say thank you for this. ❤️

    I've been wanting to do one of these for YEARS and you just gave me so many ideas!!! I've wanted to make one for each season and have a sort of forest scene with a little walking trail. I'll look for bigger boxes because yours is so freaking amazing and I now realize a regular sized book nook will NOT do for me. I've never done anything like this and I will figure it all out. I am definitely picking up that thicker craft foam because the two types can make such amazing things! And I have some remote control lights from Amazon but now I want really cool ones like what you picked out!! Thank you so much for sharing this! You're such an inspiration. Ooooooo I need to do a dragon cave!!! Ooooooo !!! Hahaha. Man my wheels are turning now!!

  • @kotadawndragon
    @kotadawndragon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    This turned out so cool! I love all the little details you put into it. I honestly thought Nerdforge had put up another video on book nooks before I saw that it was yours. It's sad that the steam damaged the street level. That was such a cool effect and really brought the scene to life.
    Batman is one of my favorite comic book characters. I've honestly enjoyed all of the Batman movies so far (haven't seen the latest one jet). Some are a little more cringe than others, but they're all fun to watch.
    A book nook idea that I think would be neat would be to take famous bookstores from fiction and real life and create a little "alley". There are some really fabulous ones that would look really neat in something like that.

    Picture the scene. I sit down to watch this video, and I'm imagining a corner of a room decorated like Gotham City. An area for you to sit in, and read your books. Then you produced the box. Wait a minute, Danie ain't gonna fit in there! (insert laughing emoji as it's not working for me today - bit like my brain lol). So, off I went to Google. Well, you learn something new every day. Thanks for the education Danie, now back to the video (you can say that in a 'to the Batcave' way if you like) x

    Danie, this was so much fun to watch. Makes me want to do one, just so hard to pick a theme. Generally, I am not into "dark theme" so the later Batman movies are not my thing. I feel the Michael Keaton Batmans were a bit more comic than gritty. I enjoyed them and still quote them.

Love all the little goodies-car, posters, graffiti, garbage etc. The lights? Perfect. Perfect! The flashing police lights filling and defining the buildings and backstreets is icing on the cake. My best batman was Michael Keaton, hands down.

    This is awesome, Danie! I had a great time watching you design and put this all together. Your creativity and problem-solving skills are amazing! This is art and engineering and design and architecture all together. Such a fun and interesting video to watch!🌸

    I LOVE this! It turned out so well, you did great! And shoutout to the editor for doing such a fun job with this one! Really brought everything together.
    I would 100% do a studio ghibli inspired home, Kiki's home from Kiki's Delivery Service where her mom does her potions OR the bakery to go with my cookbooks.

    I saw the bat signal and came running but that doggone joker pulled a stunt and blocked my arrival. Robin was out having coffee some side kick he turned out to be. Maybe I should’ve called catwoman she’s reliable and I love her outfit. What a great DIY. As always this is the reason I get up early on SaturDanie’s. My favorite?? Michael Keaton. I grew up with the Korny series lol

    This might just be my favorite project you've ever made! It looks amazing, especially with those lighting elements. Really inspiring me to actually do fun things with my own bookshelves.

    Really enjoyed watching this. Believe it or not, it gives me inspiration for a Jane Austen book nook for all my miniatures. Thanks!

    Bat-fantastic! Great use of items to create the effects! The idea lends itself to so many other book themes! It reminds me of diorama’s we did for school projects, just up a lot of notches! I am thinking of mystery bookshelves, a child’s storybook shelf, Dickens theme, got to stop , I am blowing out my creative juices! Thanks for inspiration! Blessed and safe days!
